I linked it on the thread I made at the same time. It is indeed Micky Arison's official blue check-marked twitter.

Assuming he knows what he's talking about (he's the owner of the team, let's hope so), Ray Allen's on the Heat.

Obviously, a great signing for them. Lost a smidge of respect for Ray on this one, but to each their own. He earned it.

I can't tell if being serious or not? Mike Miller (healthy or not) is one of the 5 best 3 point shooters in the NBA as of today. The fact that he would get PT with the NBA Champion Heat and not anywhere else is laughable. Miller, if he were to get re-signed by the Heat, and play with that aforementioned small ball line-up would get so many open looks it would be ridiculous.

Even if Miller goes out on the game, the Heat still have Battier. So imagine:

Wade
Ray
Battier
LBJ
Bosh.

You talk about Lakers, but their biggest strength (Pau + Bynum/Howard) would get neutralized by the perimeter based nature of the Heat. Bosh would drag Bynum/Howard out to the elbow, LBJ would give Pau fits, and then Wade vs Kobe would be a wash. Could you imagine Nash trying to get around all the screens for Ray Ray? He'd be tired beyond belief.

Who says Ray should show loyalty to the executives that tried to trade him? But what about KG and Pierce. And even though he apparently didn't like Rondo, he's still a guy that helped Ray get his ring. How many playoff games they played together. He's leaving them to join the #1 competitor. That's basically him telling Ray, Doc, KG, Rondo, etc. to **** off and that he's gonna go get his.

So it's okay for Nash to go ring-chasing because he doesn't have one, but it's not okay for Ray Allen to go ring-chasing despite the fact that he would have more individual and personal success in Miami. Selective reasoning much? Ring-chasing is ring-chasing

Umm, yes, it does make perfect sense. If you're at the end of your career and you played your majority of your career with one team... it's okay to chase a ring, especially when you get your team a return (known as a trade) Ray Allen took less money and turned down the team he won a title with. Nah. Sure Nash is not a good defender but I don't think he makes us an even worse defensive team. Sessions isn't a good defender himself. Fisher? Him either the last few years we had him.

His offensive production he will bring to the team will negate the lack of D more-so than vice versa. I mean, I know it's Nash but he alone won't make the Lakers from 15th in the league in Opp PTS/G to even 20 or below. Eh, but this is for another topic..

When you guys got Nash, I congratulated you guys, didn't go into your forum and *****.

And as far as Ray Allen being betrayed, I believe the Celtics betrayed him the last two off-seasons by trying to trade him. When the team your on is not loyal to you, why return the favor?

Isn't this the NBA forum?

Pat Riley is a genius. Whatever he does with presentations really does work.

Ray Allen considered Pat Riley's presentation the past two days in Miami as "incredible," source says. "They sold him in every way."

Nash
Kobe
Artest
Gasol
Bynum/Howard?

Just a question, are the heat p,anning on Wade playing point this year?

Ya because Gasol has any shot at guarding Lebron and Bosh will keep Bynum or Howard out the paint.

it is funny all season in Boston Ray is called old and fragile by Heat fans but now all of a sudden he's 25 again and in his prime with the Heat?? good luck with that Heat fans did you watch this postseason?? I'll take the Jet

 no heat fan is saying that heat fans are happy because now they have a consistent 3pt shooter that u have to guard which helps lebron and wade. Plus his fts shooting is a big plus for us:D

No, it is clear Allen is on the decline and has been for some time, but he'll still be able to produce. Him going to Miami is an improvement but it doesn't make them "much" better.

Pat Riley is a genius. Whatever he does with presentations really does work.

What is there to present, really? All you have to do is name Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and current NBA champs.. There's not much to it. He has the best chance at another ring there.

I've never seen Pau guard LBJ? You smoking something?

If you have the Heat's small ball line-up of Wade/Ray/Battier/LBJ/Bosh, the match-ups would break down to (this is all assumption of course):

Nash-Ray (Ray would run circles around Nash)
Kobe-Wade (even match-up IMO)
Artest-Battier (Two defensive guys who are streaky and can't create much for themselves, wash)
Pau-LBJ (LBJ would draw Pau out to the perimeter)
Bynum/Howard-Bosh (Bosh would draw the Lakers center out to the arc, thus leaving driving lanes open)

Terry fits the Celtics better, and Allen fits the Heat better. Other than taking less money it makes sense for him.

The Magic are designed for Howard. We don't know how he fits in another team, especially a team that has one of the worst three point shooting.

i think allen will come off the bench. wade and allen will share the back court at times though for sure and wade can play the 3 depending on the matchup sometimes. in a close game i'd say the last 5min or so the heats lineup will be wade/allen/battier/lebron/bosh now. its great because the heat can reduce wades minutes even more in the regular season now so come playoffs hes full go.

NBA champs arent scared of 2 teams that watched the eastern and western conference finals from there couch... but we will see... If someone said pick the heat, lakers or nets to win the nba title and if you choose wrong your dead youd pick the heat and you know it
