Unreal, probably a top 5 unselfish player in the league. Won them a ton of games with Robert Sarver as an owner.

Never complained and played hard for those fans every night. Horrible reflection on the fans.

This is exactly why as a PROFESSIONAL you make your decisions based solely on your PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL best interest. Loyalty? **** that ****.

That said its obviously a handful of dumbasses (hell maybe just one) who did this. No way true rational minded Phx fans would feel this way. The butthurt ones would though.

*Superman*
07-06-2012, 09:57 PM
Only problem I had was that he did go to PHX main rival, that is the only case you can make IMO. Otherwise people are being childish for burning his jersey, the guy that said he would wear it as a vintage was right.

king4day
07-06-2012, 09:57 PM
Lol he got them back a great deal

I wouldn't go as far to say we got back a great deal. Shumpert woulda beena great deal. Late round picks are more of a nice gesture. I'm happy we got something for him though.

Those burning the jersey's don't follow basketball. They are so hellbent on Laker hatred more than anything. Not true fans IMO.

07-06-2012, 10:18 PM
Fans really need to understand that in the end, this is all a business. Owners and GMs will ship these players off like they are a car to be traded for.

Nash going to LA because he wants to win at age 39 and also wanting to be close to his kids is the best move for him.

KniCks4LiFe
07-06-2012, 10:26 PM
I still laugh at the "I want to be closer to my kids" quote. Steve you live in NYC in the offseason, IDK how that would make it more inconvenient. End of the day it proved one thing, he didn't want to play w/ Melo. They can say D'Antoni didn't talk to him, but I bet he did. Nash chose Kobe, that's what happened.

I know how you feel. I remember the backlash at Cutler for not returning during the game against the packers 2 years ago. I knew it was probably very serious and I remember some of my buddies calling him a ***** and a ***** made ***** before any official reports of the injury. Last year, they were all on Cutler's nuts and acted like they supported him since day 1. During his first season, the same friends were the ones saying he sucked. That's that **** I don't like.

come on no one should bash Nash the guy stuck around longer than he even prob should have. I was surprised when he resigned for his last contract. He has always been high character and even though its the Lakers its not right to treat the 38 year old bad because he didn't want to finish his career still rebuilding.

I would cheer for him more on the Heat then I would the Lakers.

Steve Nash is a class act, and I will always be a fan of his. Suns fans should be grateful we got anything for Nash. He was an Unrestricted Free Agent to begin with. He could have just walked, and we would have gotten nothing for him. But instead he got us 1st round picks, and a TPE.

If it's what Nash wants, then what am I supposed to do a fan? Be pissed off like these ****ing fans for the rest of my life? That sounds pointless to me sir. Your completely wrong on all accounts.

Nash has repeatedly said that there is only ONE reason as to why left Phoenix for the Lakers:

Family

He wants to be closer to his kids. He said he usually only gets to see his kids once or twice a season but now he will get to see them 3 or 4 times a month and how much of a difference that makes to him.
