Idea: Players in the NBA who are members of their countries national team, would get a small flag sown onto their jersey (left chest).

It would be marketed as a badge of honor and encourage players to play on their teams.

From the NBA League perspective, it would show the diversity of the league and help with their international expansion. And it would also create new jerseys for them to sell.

And I think it would be cool.

I think this is a great idea. The NBA has such a diverse group of players and they should showcase it more than they do.

Players play for their city not their country when they're in the NBA.

The team name would still be front and center on the jersey (although how often do you see players pop-ing their NBA Jersey? They play for the paycheck, not the City)

It would just go where the black bands go when the team is morning a death or celebrating an anniversary.

Very good idea. It could even be another source of motivation and pride for the individual players to work harder and get better.

The league is played in america and there are already enough prejudice against the foreing players to stich a "pink triangle" or a "yellow star" in their uniform, if you get me.

This. It is a nice idea, but they have FIBA for the patriotic stuff.
