Jason Kidd will re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks in the coming days.

Jason Kidd is on the verge of re-signing with the Dallas Mavericks, according to sources close to the situation. Kidd is expected to reach an agreement with the Mavericks in the coming days. The veteran point guard considered joining the New York Knicks, but will instead return to Dallas on a multi-year deal. Last season, Kidd averaged 6.2 points, 5.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds for the Mavericks.

Apparently, but we also thought we signed J Kidd. Cant take anything seriously until a respectable source reports it.

They are going for another championship lmao, Kidd never wanted to go anywhere else used nets and knocks as leverage to return to Dallas also he wanted Deron there. 30 win team at best.

Cuban gets rid of Chandler, Barrea and Stevenson + a trade exception last summer to get Lamar and Vince.

And he gets rid of JET and Lamar this summer to re-sign Carter & Kidd and get another trade exception.

Cuban FTW!

If Dallas had resigned everyone from the championship team they would be in salary cap and luxury tax hell right now. Dallas was going to have to rebuild one way or another.

Chandler is the only one I would have brought back

Understand this, I absolutely love Mavs and their fans. I just really hate Mark Cuban the backstabbing vetoeing CP3 piece of ****. (Him, Stern, MJ and Douchey Dan).

But I love Cuban the personality. Hope things get better for you guys.

I don't, just like what Cuban said about nets. Karma

I like Cuban as an owner tbh but he is too much involved as an owner IMO. It's crazy how the overall perception is the Mavs don't have a GM/President. I mean we hear of the GMs when a team is mentioned during free agency because they are the ones makes the moves exclusively but when it comes to dallas it almost feels like Cuban himself is their entire FO...lol

So we can toss Dallas out of championship contention next year. They bring back a team that got swept out the playoffs.

THANK GOD they didnt get Kidd on a multi year deal... he was absolutely terroble last year and will only continue to decline. Knicks dont need a major overhaul, just add a few solid bench players and they will be fine. If they canreplace Bibby with Felton and Jeffries with Camby they will already be better than last year.

Jason Kidd is my favorite player of all time for what he did with the Nets. I wished he came to the Nets but with our trades we didn't have much salary cap for him. Good luck with Dallas! Finish your career strong

Exactly! That's people don't seem to understand.

That's pretty obvious, and actually their team will be worse than last year. Cuban is in rebuilding mode now.
