Grant Hill is a master of knowledge....great fit. class act. Duke University / Coach K product.

will definitely help mentor the likes of Devin Ebanks.

I'm all for it. just stay out of injury trouble.

In my books if Grant Hill never had that career-threatening injury

He would still be my favorite small forward ever to play. or could have played...

If his body can hold up Grant Hill can still be a contributor. He's long, good on defense, and he's smart, smart, smart. And Nash knows how to use him.

I also have to say, if Grant Hill signs with the Lakers, I think we ought to go the whole way with the Suns pipeline and get Charles Barkley on board. He doesn't have a ring, he's dropped a ton of weight (literally), and now that Shaq is sucking all the air of TNT's pre-game show he obviously needs another way to contribute to society. :p

Nash is a good player and has accomplished much. Grant was also very good in his prime. But it seems like the Lakers are starting to look like the Raider's of the early 2000's. They attracted many name brand players that were well past their prime (Lott, Rice, Sapp ...etc)

Then again, the Raiders did make the super bowl one of those years. Just hope they can get some good young blood.

Veterans win championships... when has a young team won the Ring... see OKC... the window is now... with Kobe in his final waneing prime years.. yes.. Kobe is still one of the top 5 players in the league playing his 17th year... and Nash still one of the top 7/8 best pg in the game despite his age... we just need some shooters off the bench ...

Payton's a ***** who kept complaining. Also, the triangle didn't fit his playing style.

Nash isn't a ***** who likes to complain. He's all class. Also, our offense isn't the triangle anymore and is in more need of a traditional PG who can shoot hence Stephen John "Steve" Nash.

AGREED. He still looks great out there defensively. Still has some mileage left on him because of that chunk of years he didn't play much due to injuries. If the price is right, c'mon down!

This is very interesting. This guy will really seal the end for the looking of a really solid bench.

Bynum or Howard/60th pick
Gasol/J Hill/Mc*
Artest/Grant Hill?/JO
Kobe/Mayo/Goud
NAsh/ Morris/ I hope not Blake!* I will like Felton in a s&t to portland*

Just a comment!
David Aldgrige sounded like he was very depress commenting about the trade! He was very excited this week when he was talking about the Celts moves! Is he a hater?

How great would it be if the Lakers could somehow get Battier for that SF spot. They'd have Metta for the Lebron's of the world and Battier for everyone else and knocking down threes. If the Lakers can get Dwight as well, Lakers would be a pretty good defensive team. Metta/Battier and Kobe, who'd have more energy because Stevie would make the game easier, out on the perimeter, and of course Dwight to hold down the fort. Just wishful thinking of course, but damn. Hill would be a nice pickup though. he does still have some mileage left and his D, though not quite on par with Battier, is above average.

Hill is still pretty athletic. He may be 39, but he sat out for like 6 years or so with injuries so he still has pretty good legs. He is still very effective and a very good all around player. Off the bench he will be very productive.

Nash is a great addition but now we have to go to younger, faster players for the 2-3 spots.

I like the Hill signing for vet. minimum. He's getting the "kobe" procedure done on his knees and that seems to be working for Kobe. I still think we need to get a little more athletic to compete with OKC and Miami. I say we use Gasol to get some younger, more athletic players that can run with Nash on the fast break.

Actually Grant Hill would be a great addition hopefully for the vet min. He actually ran the floor well with Nash and has a deadly mid range game. With him playing minutes behind ron ron we shouldn't miss a beat on defense and have a reliable shooter off the bench becuse of his mid range game. He can be a leader for the second unit and provide heart and hunger, because he wants to win a title.

I like how when Nash's contract is over, so will be kobe's monster contract along with Pau and Bynum (assuming we keep em). Will have loads of money after that to do whatever
