hmmmmm....i guess its a good chance for him to finally get big minutes and try and develop into something. so far hes been a waste of talent but i still think he has some decent potential. i'm rooting for him to do well there. they definately overpaid for him for what hes proven so far though.

This is why I don't get the NBA. Why even bother?

Beasley + LA Draft Picks = Championship

He's going to explode for 20 PPG next year. Guarantee it.

How good could this team be IF new Orleans chose not to match the Gordon offer sheet? What's their ceiling?

Good for Mike, hope he gets his **** straight.

Okay? The issue isn't his ppg, it's that it takes him 500 shots to do it. Everyone knows he could score 20ppg - the problem is that he isn't very good.

So when I move to Phoenix in the next couple of months...I have to look forward to Beasley..... ugh.

That's a bargain. The Bobcats were interested in Beasley, I would have loved him at that price.

Great signing for them.

popo85
07-04-2012, 10:42 PM
also lol at $6m per.

Well so many other guys are getting overpaid, 6 mill for a 10-12 point scorer is reasonable.

I really wanted Beasley. Lakers almost had him at the trade deadline.

Just like you guaranteed Bosh wouldn't leave the Raptors and guaranteed that if he did, you would give everyone on PSD a blowjob.

I thought the Pistons were interested in him until I read this yesterday -

Vincent Goodwill‏@vgoodwill

Per sources, #Pistons have had no contact with Terrance Williams. Same with Beasley. Two words: Knucklehead factor. They want no part of it

wtf are they thinking?

They're looking to go young. 3 years at 6 per year is a really good deal. If it works, you have your star. If not, you move on at the same time Childress expires. Good signing.

I hope the Suns add Eric Gordon, get him out of the abyss that is New Orleans...

ramz.n
07-04-2012, 10:54 PM
as a raptors fan..I would have given beasley the 3 yrs/18 mill rather than fields for 3 yrs /19m..if nash isn't coming to Toronto its not meant to be..but having fields on this team at that price tag with an injury prone guard tandem in calderon and bayless..its not just a good situation.

AWC713
07-04-2012, 10:55 PM
i think its a good signing. people look at beasley and always critique what he cant do--maybe that comes with the territory of being the #2 overall pick.

but the dude can score. he's 6'10'' and can create his own shot. given the right system, he could be like a kevin martin type player (i know theyre different positions, but basically instant offense)

ball4reel
07-04-2012, 10:55 PM
I would rather have Beasley at 18 then Fields at 20

Name one good player on the Suns roster. I'm waiting.

I think he will show now why he was in d roses caliber. I mean when he got the minutes he put out offensively so now he will carry this team.

Cosign.Beasley a former number 2 pick is a bargain at 6 mill per.He is a talented scorer, and could have a breakthrough season with the Suns.

No need to overpay for him imo

SeoulBeatz
07-04-2012, 11:33 PM
Well if his attitude doesn't kick in I think he's capable of averaging 20+ ppg in the Suns system.

"Mr. Potential" was one of the most frustrating players I watched in some time (t-wolves fan), hopefully he can put it together in Phoenix.

Beas should break out in their system. And if NO doesn't match on Gordon (unlikely) that is a hell of a scoring duo IMO.

They're trying for Dragic.

He would be a good replacement for Nash. He deserves to start at some point.

He's still a really young player. And looking at that team right now, they're gonna need scoring.

I don't know where are you are getting that from. every suns fan understands it won't be easy acquiring him

so far they added Dragic Gordan and Beasley . got rid of a 100 year old point guard and got some young draft picks

pretty good off season

He will score in bunches, and is funny as hell, but will get blown by consistently. I hope the possession laws in Arizona is just a fine like it is in MN and not an arrest. Hope the best for him and The Suns.

Honestly, this seems like a decent contract considering the ones we've seen so far this offseason. If Dragic can play like he did when Suns FINALLY beat SPurs, they got some potential on the wing with; Dragic/Gordon/Beasley.

Good move for Wolves. Beasley is a dense-cap.

Cfrey
07-05-2012, 03:32 AM
6 mil a year isn't even that much for a dude who can fill it up every now and then.. he's always had the talent.. he just needs to use his brain and maybe someday he'll figure it out.. otherwise its not a bad deal for the suns cause they could use the scoring

Of course not!

What did you think those LAL picks are gonna be used for? ;)
