I was knocking on the Lakers future yesterday - while I still don't think that team is set up well for the future - the present just got a whole lot brighter for them.

Nash immediately makes them a contender again. It's been a long time since the Lakers had a true PG.

seriously though, Phoenix is always kind of friendly to the Lakers. We have often done cool little deals with them for future considerations, or sent them good prospects with a lot of potential that just didn't fit on the Laker roster, for nothing in return.

Phoenix and LA have a kind of cool friendship, always have.
