I am curious about something and Will use the heat as an example so more people come and someone answers quickly Lol... If your the heat and you have a really rich owner why not offer someone like Nash the minimum and just cut him a 50 million dollar check when he retires... I am actually being serious...What could happen if an organization did this? If the player kept quiet would they even ever find out?

Lol If I was the knicks owner I would offer Nash the minimum and then give him a consultant job when he retires for 1 year with a base salary of 36 mill

This.

If the league finds out - and they probably would - you'd lose a lot. Minny lost 4 first round picks, had the contract voided, and the owner and GM were effectively suspended when they did a wink wink deal with Joe Smith.

Good luck justifying that when the nba commissioner calls his buddies in congress to make an example of you at the highest courts.

see: congress getting involved with MLB and steroids.

I am sure the Nets owner is going to do this for Ak47....

But nobody will ever know.

the best odds of cheating would be a three way wink wink wink deal.

player signs for minimum, adidas/reebok/nike whatever pays the player 50 million dollars for using their shoes , owner buys 40000 or whatever pair of shoes at double their selling price to the shoe company and sends them as a present to dudes in bad hoods disguised as some beneficency program.
