I found this article on how travel affects each team. We seriously travel more than any other team. In my eyes we are at a disadvantage. Do you guys feel we are?

Yeah, it's ******** but you just have to deal with it

I think it hurts us because we are always traveling a long ways when we are on the road. At the same time, teams coming to Seattle are traveling a long ways as well, which helps. The difference is that other teams mix short road trips in with the long ones, and we don't get to.

Not for football IMO. I mean the longest flight you have to sit in is like 7 hours, and that's not THAT bad. Maybe when you get those times where you have a sunday football game followed by a Thursday night game. I don't think it plays a big factor like baseball.

The Seahawks should do what my Canucks have done in the NHL. The GM has hired a sleep specialist to deal with their brutal travel schedule. They have the worst travel schedule in the league and they play 41 games away from home every year. These guys sometime play 4 games in 6 nights on the road. Hiring a sleep specialist may have sounded crazy but it has helped this team vastly over the last few years.

The Seahawks have a great owner and GM and should look into this too. it can't hurt.

I think it shouldn't be too huge a factor to warrant hiring a sleep specialist yet, wait to see how they fare on the field before you jump to conclusions I say.

That is a good point but, this is a very competitive league and management should be looking for every opportunity to give them an edge to make the team better. Our owner has a tonne of dough so money isn't an object. Just my thoughts.
