The Bulls reached out to Kirk Hinrich and offered a deal at or just above the veteran’s minimum and below the “mini” mid-level exception, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Hinrich, who has drawn interest from eight teams, including the Lakers, said in late March he would consider the Bulls but also keep all options open.

I'd prefer West over Hinrich

That's not a good offer for Kirk. He can get more than that from another team. At least 4 to 5 million a season.

That's a contract I could see the Bulls starting with for a 11th or 12 player on a team. Not a player who could be a 6th or 7th man off the bench.
