First the Perry Jones "gamble," now Hasheem Thabeet? Source says Oklahoma City is the most likely landing spot for the 7-3 center who was taken No. 2 by Memphis in 2009 and will be playing for his fourth team (assuming he doesn't sign with Portland, Houston or the Griz).

The new Eddy Curry signing.

decent idea.

Ibaka and Thabeet are some trouble for the other team to score inside.

And they dont need to score casue wes, harden and durant can do it all

give him the max!

He could be an ok role player

Free Thabeet!

07-01-2012, 04:25 PM
that could work out great for them

How on earth is he still going to be in the league following what's been to this point, a horrendus career?
He's gotta be in top 5 busts of all time. I might even put him ahead of Kwame.

In the history of the NBA draft, no one player has been easier to label a bust on Draft Night than Thabeet.

kwame brown? darko?

Why would anyone think Kwame Brown would be a bust? And Darko was considered to be a good European player.

I love okc :D

even if this doesnt work out its still ****in rad!!

I like it. Low risk decent reward possibility I mean after all you can't teach height. Nice move by Presti.

If this happens they should trade Westbrook for Anthony Davis that way they could have the ugliest Pf/C rotation. (Perk, Thabeet and AD).

I hoped Miami looked at him!

7'2 Center, if he just played D and rebounded he'd be amazing.

Might as well give him a try.

Min contract, low expectations, potential upside.

Couldn't hurt if they had the roster spot.

that's all he does

A bigger version of Joel Anthony without the motivation. No thx

07-01-2012, 05:19 PM
Non guaranteed contract and make him play in summer league and make him make the team, i could deal with that.

07-01-2012, 06:06 PM
Apparently the Mavs want him too

I think the Mavs are better place for him ,Ryan Hollins and Ian Mahinmi both looked to be on their way out of the league but Carlisle made them a rotation players

07-01-2012, 06:17 PM
Yea assuming Thabeet can just camp half the paint with Ibaka this could be a nice move.

07-01-2012, 06:20 PM
Thabeet runs in slow motion

07-01-2012, 09:40 PM
give him the max!

might as well everyone else is getting it lmao

07-01-2012, 10:11 PM
surely won't be for a lot of money

Great move for OKC if they sign Thabeet. I love seeing great teams take these low risk-high reward signings in any sport because I don't see much downside. Being realistic, Thabeet comes off the bench and blocks a few shots, protects the rim, and gets a few putbacks. At worst, he is as lazy as he seems and never sees the court and gets cut with virtually no harm to OKC.

Unless they get him for minimum, bad idea

07-02-2012, 03:35 AM
I like it, quite a bit actually.

07-02-2012, 04:05 AM
kwame brown?

Not even close. Kwame is a bust but nowhere near the GOAT bust. He's actually a decent player but what makes him so infamous is that his name has forever been connected with the real GOAT Jordan. Had he not been picked by Jordan he would be viewed the way he has been. Thabeet is a total bust as of now but he can still learn a lot to become an useful contributor.

07-02-2012, 04:36 AM
Why not?

Love what OKC is doing.

Now they can stash Perry Jones and Thabeet on the bench and see if one of them pans out. If not, so what? Their lineup is still stacked.

Okc is doing a great job developing their players. Who knows???
