There was little fanfare surrounding it, but the Nuggets did, in fact, extend a qualifying offer to JaVale McGee, source says.

No offers yet for Nuggets RFA JaVale McGee. Denver poised to begin extension talks. Also, retaining PG Andre Miller a priority for Denver.

The Nuggets did not extend a qualifying offer to Rudy Fernandez, making him an unrestricted free agent, league source says.

Hopefully they can give him a nice contract like they did to Wilson Chandler.

I wanted him on the Pistons BAD before we got Drummond. Good luck Denver - I (unlike alot of PSD) actually like this kid and think he has a bright future. Not many good centers left in the NBA right now. If he can mature a little - he can really become dominant.

They had to, they werent going to let him get away after trading Nene for him.

I think Karl is a great coach for McGee, good move for Denver.

Bigs are getting paid this year, to me this guy is the worst currently but has the highest potential.

He's gonna get a huge contract. If Hibbert gets a max contract, McGee's getting about 13-15M a season.

Hopefully Masai can convince him that in Denver he can compete and he accepts a 8-10 mil a year deal !

hopefully they dont give him a big contract and trade him once he has one bad game

yeah. its funny cause teams are doubling down on being bigger and badder than the two teams that made the finals this year.

i'd do the opposite but we shall see. i think mcgee will earn his contract in denver, very up in the air everywhere else.
