Faced with the possibility of losing Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics are pursuing Dallas Mavericks free-agent guard Jason Terry, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Celtics are preparing themselves for the possible loss of Allen, and began the process of recruiting Terry after midnight ET Saturday, league sources said.
The Mavericks still have interest in re-signing Terry. The Los Angeles Clippers also have emerged as suitors, sources said. The Celtics also have interest in Los Angeles Clippers free agent guard Nick Young, sources said.
Terry, 34, averaged 15 points for the Mavericks this season.

Celts need to add some youth. Kinda don't get this for them.

Why would the Celts do this? Lol
And for the clips? Please lord no

They also have interest in Nick Young, but I don't think the Clippers trade him.

Young is a FA

Never mind, Nick Young is an UFA.

Yeah sorry about that, I forgot that he was a free agent.

Celtics have been linked with Ray, Mayo, Terry, Young, and Jamal Crawford. See a trend? They are looking for 2s who can score

At this stage in their careers probably an upgrade over Ray.

Would be a great fit and would help make up for the loss of Ray Allen.

They just extended KG, they still probably think they can make a run.

Good sign for Miami Heat.

If we're going all in for another title this year, age shouldn't be a factor over Terry's playoff experience and ability to have big games when it counts.

If we don't get Ray back, I feel he'd be better than Young or Crawford.

I like Terry but at 35 he's not much younger than Allen so don't know why Boston would do this.

Good replacement if Shuttlesworth leaves, Terry's still a consistent player in this league.

Mayo would be a better fit IMO
