Nope. Not at all. Chances are good there will be more NBA doing time. Most are just thugs living on the edge. And it will serve them right when they do get busted. No pity from me.

How is it any worse than the players being arrested or whatever? I see no difference, other than it being worse when the players are arrested because it looks worse to the public eye.

I think it's worse when refs get in trouble.

Not at all. If it was for illegal gambling then hell yes. The Miami Lebron's won the title its that simple and I absolutely cannot stand Lebron. He got 1, people need to suck it up. BTW I'd still take Jordan or Kobe over Lebron any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Refs should be a different entity all together separate from the Stern & the NBA. Not to say that would deter any corruption but at least it's less likely to occur.

The league has been shady for a long time now just like boxing. Like Boxing if there's millions of money to be made and you can wager on it there's a significant possibility the sport can be fixed.

it bothers me that ex-cons are allowed to have jobs without proving they've repented
if they do something serious enough to get incarcerated, then they've lost their chance at living a happy life.

tapajafri
06-26-2012, 02:51 AM
how about un-convicted refs that are obviously guilty and just haven't been proven yet... like Dick Bavetta

So because they committed crimes, they shouldn't be allowed to work anymore?

So because they committed crimes, they shouldn't be allowed to work anymore?

Most other felons have that problem,

And they sure arent handed jobs as judgement callers in multii-billion dollar industries.
