McGrady: Could've been a surefire HOF player if not for the back spasms and other nagging injuries...was more talented than 99% of perimeter players

Grant Hill: was a very good player early in his career and could've been a top tier talent, but his hammy gave up on him

Penny Hardaway: Another beast early in his career with lingering injuries

Dwyane Wade: Somewhat successful career but had a number of injuries that greatly shortened his already impressive resume

Lmao @ Dwyane Wade, but i'd say Jermaine O'neal, Michael Redd, Darius Miles ( if anybody remembers that guy lol)
EDIT: Miles could have had a great career , I read the thread title wrong, thought it said that didn't have a great career.

Hill had multiple ankle surgeries, not hamstrings

Alonzo mourning and his kidney issues stopped him from the elite category later on, Allan Houston went too early

Does anybody know what made Steve Francis non-existent?

Allen Iverson had a heck of a career - even won a league MVP - despite having played his entire career without the benefit of a brain. How else do you explain his behaviour prior to and during his career?

Sam Bowie had a very productive career after recovering from injury. Shame he was the guy picked ahead of Michael Jordan.
