I have a question, Its for a paper im doing on officiating in the NBA..

1. Does anyone know the record for consecutive games of a team that doesn't have a player fouling out?

2. The lowest fouls per minute for an indivudual the past few seasons??

thats to much to keep track of. try to doing individual player one then build on to get that far. P.S the Knicks just go raped

I'm trying to find out if star treatment is much worse than say..1980's

I heard it existed with Bird/Magic ect (And i'd believe that). But im curious to find out if it got worse, and by how much

1. nba.com has moses malone with 1207 games, WTF

2. br.com has PF/36 for individuals but i can't find a solid list. my guess is that lebron james is right near the top with like 1.7/36 mins. there are a few guys right around there, all super stars.

team numbers will take a lot of effort and research but i'm sure you could figure it out.

I'm pretty sure that Wilt claimed to never have fouled out

Try searching on BBR. If that's your topic, maybe compare a handful of star players from the 80s 90s and 2000s and go that route. Some sites like 82 games or whatever might have stats for opponents too, like how many fouls opponents had against star players. I'm too lazy to look for you, but those are some suggestions.

hope this helps

I just found the Heat went 88 games without any 1 member fouling out, but the sites didn't seem legit..Anyone know if thats factual?

(Not trying to bait, so i don't want fans thinking i am)..This is just to find out 2 things..

1. How much star treatment exists
2. If it has grown

i think with miami you need to give them a ton of credit before going there because they do play exceptional defense.

any idea what the celtics foul rate looks like from like 2008-2011? i'll be they had a nice run without fouling out.

star treatment i think occurs most on the offensive end where stars can attack the basket and get benefit of the doubt.

on the other end bron and wade are all-world defenders at their positions, bosh has improved his d IQ and they are the best defensive team in the league.

7. Ronnie Brewer

9. Iggy

Bynum is 17...which astounds me...

That's just among qualified players.

Rose is very low historically too. Top 10 (twice top 3) the three seasons prior to this season.

This is LeBron's lowest in a while. He's usually in the 2s. He was 2.0 this season...his lowest in a while.

^^ interesting. the brandon rush's of the world may be underrated defenders. nash and terry are turnstiles.

kemba, lawson, tp im not so sure about. good defense or no defense?

Wilt never fouled out due to personal fouls.

He did get two technicals in a game and was ousted.

Im pretty sure there are plenty of players who went their entire careers without fouling out. And im not tlking about scrub players who only play 20mpg either.

You need to check out nba.com's stats page, and basketball-reference. You're not going to get a particularly good grade on a statistics-based paper if you're not doing the necessary research.
