AA says second opinion for Drew Hutchison confirms ligament sprain. No throw for 4-6 weeks.

Didn't see it posted. Good news.

I thought it could get worse if he didnt get TJ surgery?

Great news if true though

This is good news, still haven't heard if Morrow is coming back this year? And whats with all the Tommy John Surgery, Atl. Beachy is getting it as well. Bad year for pitchers.

i still aint excited bout this.... 4-6 no throw means hes out 8-12 weeks with the rehab... they'll prolly just shut him down for the year.

It's still possible that he misses the season but no TJ is good news. He probably wouldn't be back until July-ish next year if he had TJ.

he'll pitch again this year just so he doesnt go 10 months without throwing...but it will be very few innings in september.

i doubt we'll trade him to a contender, he is part of the future.

If it's a sprain does it mean that it's more susceptible to a tear, in the end requiring TJS.

If we are not contending at the trade deadline we are better off just shutting him down

Zaun was talking about this saying that the doctors might still recommend TJ.

I think he'll still get it. It's better to lose him for a year and let him pick back up in July 2013 down in the minors than it is to risk losing him early next year costing him basically 2 fulls years development.

Hutch should just get the surgery and get on with it. No point in wasting time trying and hoping for rehab. Hutch is a write off (sooo sad to say) for me for 2 years..
