Now that the big stars from the 03 draft class all have rings except Carmelo Anthony. Do you guys think he will ever win one?

he should. If he gets better teammates he should. But the Heat are a better team than the current Knicks team and tbh i feel that Amare and Melo aren't even close to what Lebron and Wade are in terms of compatibility (and they're not even that compatible)

None of us can tell the future. 3 years ago we wouldn't have thought that Bosh would won one this soon because many of us thought he'd stay in Toronto. Of course Melo's circumstances are completely different from that of Bosh's but currently they way the things are in NY I don't think he's going to be winning one in the near future. That could change with the right moves and steady improvement from their younger players in Lin and Shump (when he's 100% again).

There are too many variables to say defiantly that Melo is or isn't going to win one but if at this very moment it doesn't look too promising for him to win one while still in the prime of his career.

no he does not have legacy to uphold or anything. I think he'll be one of those stars that don't win one.

I sure hope so, but they have a lot to prove for anyone to become true believers that they can be moer than just a middle of the pack type team.

My problem with this is that now unless you have 3 legit stars, you're not gonna win the title... Parity in the league is gonna be an even bigger problem... Look at the conference finals this year..

Boston Big 3, Spurs big 3, Miami big 3, OKC big 3... Can't win without a big 3 apparently.

Is Melo a Star???

Not trying to mock but is someone not considered a top 7/8 league player a star?

I hope so for the Knicks! Would hate to see him be the next Tracy McGrady.

You can win if you put a good product on the floor, big 3's are overrated.

I love that draft class.... D Wade

i am a HEAT fan so I can not see Melo winning a ring anytime soon... But his team will do grant next season.

sometimes it's still baffling to accept the fact that three of the top five picks, in a draft which is considered to be the third greatest in NBA history, are all on the same team, in their primes. unfortunatley, I think Melo will be the odd man out.

Bruno

i also trip out about the fact that Detroit passed up on Melo, Wade, and Bosh.

Imagine the 2003-2007 Pistons with Wade. Absurd.

Melo is the only player drafted in the top 5 of this draft to not win a ring. Time for him to shine.

No, just something about this guy says not until he's older and is a quality role player and not the man. at least as it seems right now. hes the same player now he was 5 years ago. now could he morph into a championship SF? sure... but will he?

I don't consider him a super star, hes a very good player def not a star. Melo needs alot of improvement, it's like he has the tools just doesn't have the basketball smarts. When the sixers play Kobe LeBron Durant, i have that fear they're going to be the reason their teams win. When Melo is playing us, it's like let him get his 20 points on 30 shots and we win the game.

He might not be a superstar but definitely a star. Also come on 20 points on 30 shots?
He did have a hot streak all through April. I wish he could sustain a level of play like that. To be frank Melo, Stat, Chandler don't mesh well together. It would be best if one of them was gone preferably Stat.
