The Blue Jays promoted Andrew Tinnish to assistant GM, reports Bob Elliott of The Toronto Sun (on Twitter). Tinnish had been the team's amateur scouting director.

Elliot is reporting that Lacava, Tinnish and Sartori will all serve as assistant.

Would be interesting to see who gets promoted to the Amateur Scouting Director.

Tinnish is certainly worthy of the promotion. I guess they wanted to keep him satiated in order to fend off other teams poaching efforts...

The top tier of our front office is stacked. AA, Tinnish, LaCava and Sartori. It's like having four GM-worthy guys in one office. We also have an amazing scouting department. Now if only our development and coaching staffs were a bit better, our front office could compete with that of the Rays.

Jays pro cross-checker Brian Parker, formerly an assistant scouting director with the Washington Nationals and a former Expos scout, will take over as scouting director.
