Should the expectations for the hornets be playoffs or bust(anotha lottery year).

They better be. They gave up Chris Paul for all of that.

I don't think so. The west is just too good. I think they're 2-3 years away.

They won't make the playoffs.

No and it's better if they don't. In a few years they could be deadly if EG sticks around

They gave up CP3 for a brittle Eric Gordon, Aminu, and an expiring in Kaman along with a first round pick. And they were horrible enough w/o CP3, that they got the #1 pick (cough cough).

So why would you expect the playoffs (cough cough)?

They arent bobcats bad they have a few contracts they can move and they have decent role players..landry, jack, ariza, okafor I think they can turn that roster around quickly..if they work it right lol

Because according to Stern, the best deal out there was a dynamic duo of Gordon & Aminu.

This. Next year they could fill their problem at C, SF, or PG (Whatever they don't use the 10th on this year) with another lotto pick.

A lot of their key players were injured a lot of this past season, including their best player, Gordon, and they still usually kept the games close and won some games near the end of the season. A healthy roster with all of their key players, especially Gordon and Anthony Davis, will give them a big chance to at least get the 8th seed. Monty Williams is also a highly praised coach.

I watched every last hornet game and this is true. There was many of times where we could have won the game or winning the whole game and give up the lead in the last 2 minutes. All we need to do is learn how to close out games. Get a stud SF or C . Watch out for the injuries and the hornets can do some damage

I think we can be a 7-8 seeded team, we were a good squad when Gordon was in the game, and considering we will be getting Davis and another player with the 10th pick, and also we can get a good role player FA, so we will be good there.

I wont guarantee a playoff spot, but I wouldn't be surprised

Salty ehhh???
Gordon, a 1st round pick, Aminu(a growing potentially good role player), and Kaman(an expiring huge contract) is good value for Paul

You do realize the Celtics offered Avery Bradley, Jeff Green and Rajon Rondo, with 2 1st rounders, right?

Reguardless that Guy *****es about that trade every time the hornets brought up. I can't complain how it turned out anyway.

Davis has the potential to be a game changer for us. I love Rondo but I believe a potential elite big man is better then an elite PG

Wouldn't they have got the 1st overall pick anyway?? So they would have Rondo and Davis, their other first would have been much lower then tenth however.

No way 2 rookies with gordon turn a team around like that. come on, get real. If it was 2 lebron/durant type rookies, then maybe.

And I almost forgot the west is tough to make it in the playoffs. you have to be a 48-50 win team just to make it in.
