I don't think Tony or Billups will be a HOF, at least they're definetly not 1st ballot... so NO

Well, I was going to use him as a clear example on why the question from the OP isn't true. Alas, someone beat me to it.

I post a lot is probably why...

it's more impressive to get a fmvp and not make the hall

Finals MVPs not in the HoF: Jo Jo White, Cedric Maxwell, Shaq, Duncan, Billups, Wade, Parker, Pierce, Bryant, Nowitzki...and after this year's finals, likely Durant or James

White, Maxwell, and Billups are the only questionable names to have a chance to make it to HoF, the rest of the names on the list are future HoFers.

I'd vote for Billups for the HOF.

Tony Parker is obviously a lock for the HOF.

The players in bold haven't retired but are definitely going to be in the Hall of fame

Yeah, cause moderators usually pad their posts... oh wait no that's Miami Heat trolls! "Where the haters at?" :D

Seriously though, the Finals MVP usually goes to all-star players who are getting a championship so there's a bit of a correlation there. It's rare that a non-superstar/all-star gets it even if they feel more like the MVP (I'm looking at you Cheap Shot... er, Big Shot Rob and your 3 that changed the Detroit series).

It does mean that you are on top of the basketball world, but it doesnt mean you name should be forever etched in basketball history because remember, its just one year. You need to have a careerful of acomplishments to get to the Hall.

Depends on the player and hype of series.

Is Cedric Maxwell in yet?

Nor will he ever get in...

As for Parker and Billups, they are both going in.
