Vorontsevich is 24-years-old and has 8 years of professional basketball experience in Europe. He's 6-9 and weighs 225 pounds. Last year he averaged 8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.

There's a link in Russian confirming the story but I can't seem to get the Google Translate to properly word it.

Scouting Report from FIBA:

A tall player with a long range shot, Andrei Vorontsevich has a history of filling in for both Victor Khryapa (a power forward) and Sasha Kaun (center) in his career, as well as playing some small forward, which speaks volumes to his talent and physical gifts.

Mostly a finesse player on offence, all of a sudden he will ignite the crowd by elevating for a powerful dunk and then run back on defence to guard a big man, because he’s strong enough.

His game has yet to be defined.

Heavily pressed to perform in limited playing time off the bench at star-studded CSKA, Vorontsevich would sometimes hesitate with his decision-making, but the experience is invaluable and he starts to show more confidence, earning him more minutes.

plan B in case Ibaka leaves? Other than that where is OKC going to play him? PF rotation is set with Ibaka and Collison. Durant logs like 45 mpg barring foul trouble

Already getting on the horse and they're still in contention for an NBA title. Love international talent I'm hoping the Knicks improve their international scouting and sign a couple of ball players in the future that can contribute.

It is good they are looking at improving their team. I just don't know much about the guy. I looked him up and I don't know if he will transition into an NBA player.

Sounds like nothing more than a backup SF/PF.
