Before this last college season, Drummond was the clear-cut favorite to go #1. The latest reports are saying he could slip out the top 10 even.

Where does he end up getting drafted and why?

I think the Sixers get him... whether that means trading Iggy or not im not sure... but the Sixers are in love with him.

I think he goes to portland where they will try to develop a crazy Frontcourtwith Lamarcus and Drummond

I think Clevelnd would be smart to draft him. If he turns out well then they r set with Irving, Thompson, and Drummond

Drummond is the biggest gamble in years. His potential is off the charts though.

If the Kings get him, him and DeMarcus Cousins is potentially a sick athletic, big front court.

I think he goes to Portland. He's as boom or bust as you can get though.

no gm wants to be the guy to draft the bust in this years draft. there are a lot of really good players that could be stars or roll players. guys like drummond, perry jones, terrence jones and austin rivers are gambles that could turn out to be anything. If i'm drafting top 5, no way i get him. there are too many players that are gonna be great to take that high a chance. if i'm 5-10 i am taking a strong consideration at drafting him. he has great size/athleticism a ridiculous wingspan and all the physical tools need to dominate at the next level. with the right staff around him, he could be the best player in this draft. if im 10-15 and he is still on the board, i draft him regardless. young big men with that much potential always have tremendous trade value if they are healthy. an ideal fit for him would be new orleans (him and davis could just be unreal) phoenix (nash would help, so would their system) or portland (good organization and good cast).

Sad thing is Portland's been going by that word the last 7 years.

He'll be better defensively than Amar'e ever was.

Drummond thinks his game resembles Kevin Durant... He needs a lot of work. I hope Cleveland passes on him.

this guy reminds me of Hasheem thabeet. Great potential that could translate to nothing. I wouldn't draft him that high. i would much rather gamble on guys like Thomas robinson of Gilchrist

Ugh?:eyebrow:

Hasheem Thabeet didn't come into the NBA with "potential".

He did 3 years in college and everyone knew that either he was going to make an impact as a dominant shot blocker or he was going to be a mega bust. Thabeet is nowhere near as good of an athlete as Drummond and he didn't have any offensive game.

Drummond comes with the least risk of any prospect.

If he never improves past what he is right now, you've got a JaVale McGee level C who you can put in your starting lineup but might lose when some team gives him $10+ million.

He didn't say that about his game. He has said that he mentioned Kevin Durant about his impact & demeanor on the court as a guy who quietly goes about his business.

Do you really want to trust Waiters converting to a Point Guard as a rookie?

i like that fit. was intrigued by the idea of boston moving up but frankly we don't need another offensively challenged guy to build around.

if he gets on the right team he will be a beast. the guy did some special stuff on defense this season, and his lack luster play is overblown. he's raw yes, but he was also redundant with alex oriakhi this year and both guys struggled to be consistent.

i think the gamble is that this year more than most the other top prospects are pretty known quantities.

Monta is beast

Please, please, please not Portland

Drummond's shot makes me cringe and the 4th quarter free throw percentage will be just as painful.

In the end Portland will end up with two top 6 picks and Drummond will not be one of them
