OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Miami Heat are keeping their starting lineup for Thursday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals quiet until game time.

However, there are hints that Chris Bosh could return to the starting lineup for the first time since Game 1 of the conference semifinals.

Bosh has come off the bench for the past four games as he worked his way back from an abdominal strain that caused him to miss nine playoff games.

Thursday afternoon, however, Bosh was wearing the red jersey reserved for starters when the Heat's shootaround ended, which indicated he was working with the first unit.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra also suggested Bosh would be going back to his normal role.

"How we use Chris might be a little bit more like how we used him during the regular season," said Spoelstra, who has changed his starting lineup five times during the playoffs.

Bosh had started every game he played as a member of the Heat until coming back from the injury in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. Bosh scored just 10 points off the bench in Game 1 and the Heat are looking to get him more involved in the offense in Game 2.

"If coach wants to put me out there, I'm more than available," Bosh said. "I've started a bunch of games in this league. I'm ready to go."

Erik Spoelstra: International Man of Mystery

@ZachLowe_SI

If you listen to Gloria Estefan's "Rhythm is Gonna Get You" backward, it will reveal the names in Erik Spoelstra's starting lineup.

I would be happier if he kicked in 18-20 points and 7-8 boards, regarless of whether he started or not.

Yea but its harder to get going off the bench, its better to get Bosh going than Battier.

Bosh doesn't play aggressive.

He can, he can take his guy off the dribble, which he hasnt done in a few games, and he needs to do more of. He makes a few 3's and now is acting like ray allen out there lol

bottom line is he cant be outplayed by nick collison

Bosh needs to start. you don't pay guys 16 million dollars a year only to have them come off the bench during the most important games of the season. sop wants bosh to get a rythem? then start him.

I don't get why people care at all. It's been such huge news, but why?

Literally the least important factor that contributed to the Heat losing game 1 was Bosh not starting. That was the most irrelevant factor of the entire thing. They started off HOT.

Who cares if he starts or not? He's just gotta contribute and get those minutes.
