The Spurs may consider signing Kevin Garnett this summer, according to a person within the organization.

Garnett will be an unrestricted free agent, as will Tim Duncan.

“Hopefully management can do something to bring [Garnett] back, maybe add some pieces to this team that we need to get over the top,” Paul Pierce told reporters after Boston was eliminated by the Heat on Saturday night. “If not, it’s been a tremendous run.”

Both KG and TD had great playoffs, there was an article a few weeks back stating Duncan hated KG. KG would be a great option if TD is not signed back for the short run or maybe they can co-exist and give the Spurs another run at the title.

I was thinking this as well why doesn't KG go to San Antonio or Dallas since he plays the Center spot now?

What does him playing center have to do with anything? Duncan plays center too now, doesnt mean you cant pair the 2.

Would be nice, and quite a wonder to watch, but I doubt it happens.
I wonder if the Clipps would do a S+T for Deandre Jordan.
KG would be great for the clipps.
He could also play for a retooled Blazers or.. GASP* Go back to Minny.

Artest & Kobe didn't either, and it worked.

I don't really see this happening. These guys have been competitors for too long, and basically were compared amongst one another as who was the more dominant player at their position throughout their careers. They probably have tremendous respect for each other as competitors, but I don't see them playing together.

After the 2008 finals Artest told Kobe he wanted to play for the Lakers, they had a heated exchange during the playoffs but that was just in that game.

If the whole "happy mothers day" incident is true I don't buy it. But to imagine the frontcourt defense.

jeez....i don't think it will happen. i just hope KG gives boston a hometown discount, he's made more than enough.

but wow. the basketball fan in me loves that idea, the celtics fan in me hates it.

KG/Duncan want fit together, both players are centers now,no way they can play pf for a full season, they don't have the foot speed to keep up with the athletic pf's.

I was thinking about this yesterday lmao.
After the way they played this year I have no doubt in my mind that Pops would know exactly how to manage KG's minute because Doc kept over playing him and depended on him to much.
Spurs have the cap space and definitely should do this he would be enough to put them over the Thunder next year.

Lakers are also another sick destination, trading Gasol first

He should come to Chicago for a hometown discount since Chicago is his home town.

KG has no love for the Minnesota FO and has said some pretty off-putting things about them.

No thanks on KG. Especially since he'll still probably want at least $10M a year.

They were forced to play center due to them teams not having one.

Even at their current ages, I'm aroused at the thought of it. Timmy would finally have an ideal big with him in the frontcourt - it's been a while since he's been paired with a good big. The Spurs would be deadly. With all that said, I don't see it happening.

I dunno if Duncan and Garnett could defend the pick n roll effectively at this point in their careers, but they'd fit real good on offense. **** KG though. Literally my least favorite player in the NBA.
