I still don't get why everyone thinks the Heat don't have a chance to win it all.

I agree with the OP. The only thing that scares me of the officiaiting bias in favour of Miami. The way it's going, you have to essentially blow them out by 20 to get a 2 point win.

I think it's the Heat's year.

The Spurs, and the Thunder have as much of a chance or more to win it too though.

One of the teams from the west. I was hoping the Laker's could somehow pull off a miracle to get by the Thunder and Spurs because I saw the finals as just a formality. Just like it was in the early 2000's.

If the Heat can get Bosh healthy with averages like 15 and 8 or more, I believe they will win (assuming they get past Boston, which is still a big if at this point). However, the Heat will lose in 5 without Bosh to the Spurs imho.

Spurs are the favs, Heat have a great shot and the Thunder would be the underdogs against both teams IMO.

Spurs have the best shot to beat the Heat imho.. Heat seem like the clear favorites, that's if Bosh comes back, but anything can happen

Whoever wins the West will win it all.

It's a crime that a trash team like Miami actually has a shot to win. Shane Battier, Ronny Turiaf, Juwan Howard, Dexter Pittman, Norris Cole, Joel Anthony...

Such a joke that one day I could go to the NBA HoF and see those garbage players under the "Champions" section...

TEAMS win. Thats why Miami lost last year. That's why they are going to lose this year.

Shane Battier isn't an excellent player by any means, but everybody has only good things to say about his leadership, work ethic, and defensive play. Howard, Pittman, Cole, Anthony, and Turiaf are all sub-par players but all teams have "scrubs" like them. Overall, though, Turiaf and Joel actually have a small impact on each game compared to the others.

The championship stays in the West.

Miami looks amazing at times, but it all depends on how chalmers, miller and battier play. If they score a combined 30 a game assuming lebron and wade score 30 each then they'll most likely win. My opinion is that the whoever comes out of the West will win the chip.

Miami won't have homecourt against either the Spurs or Thunder but I don't see that hurting them too much in the Finals (with the format being 2-3-2). Miami could still win on the road (similar to how the Mavs won last season).

Think it will be the West.

OKC/Spurs are pretty close to a coin flip in terms of which team is going to win the series in my opinion, with a *slight* edge to OKC.

The Heat can win it, but I think they're underdogs.

Spurs/Thunder are just too good and too deep.

I cant see MIA being able to handle the depth of either the Spurs or Thunder. They both just have so many ways to hurt you, especially the Spurs
