first off, this trade works straight up

76ers send:

Iggy

Jazz send:

Al Jefferson

why the 76ers do it:

they are actively looking to trade Iggy to help the development of turner and jrue. Al Jefferson is a great scorer who can play either center or power forward for the 76ers.

why the jazz do it:

the jazz have a logjam down low, with millsap, jefferson, kanter, and favors. millsap is on a team friendly deal, so I don't see him being traded. trading jefferson frees up playing time for favors and kanter. the jazz are weak at SF, so iggy can come in and be a dominant defensive player for them.

thoughts?

Love it. I've wanted Iggy in a Jazz uniform for a while.

I think both teams would do it but also think that the sixers could get a better deal

Millsap is making $7m, Jefferson is at $15m. Millsap's the keeper...

Maybe make a three way trade with Memphis since Rudy Gay seems to be on the trading block and makes around the same as Jefferson and Iggy.

I don't mind iggy but I would rather the Jazz just hang on to jeffersons expiring so we will have a payroll of $0 to prepare for 2013 free agency so we can max James Harden. Don't care if the thunder match but it will cripple them financially.

Unfortunately, I can see the Sixers accepting this deal this offseason.

supposedly both sides have briefly spoken about Jefferson+Watson for Iggy, but no more than that as yet.

I'm on board with it, perfect for us, don't know about them though.

Sounds like it makes sense for both

Lou Williams is likely heading to another team after opting out and will seek a higher paid contract. Watson could replace him behind Holiday nicely while also acquiring Jefferson to provide a much needed down low scorer.

Would allow Millsap, Favors and Kanter much greater an opportunity to exploit their talents and also being graced at the same time with an all star SF in Andre Iguodala.
