On whether he expects associate head coach Brian Shaw to return next season (Portland, Charlotte and Orlando have expressed interest in him for their head coaching positions):

"I'd be shocked if he does come back. I'm actually shocked that he's not a head coach already. He's got it all. He's going to be one of the top five head coaches in the NBA for the next 10 years when he finally gets his shot, and there's not a doubt in my mind that's going to happen. I had high expectations for him coming in, and he flat out blew me away and exceeded those expectations, much like our team did, with everything he does. He has no weaknesses to him at all. He's a workaholic."

He should have been the Lakers head coach after Phil retired. :(

Hey! Mr Potato Head didn't show up at the beginning of the season fat and out of shape. Wait...he did. He's kind of a fat ***.

I agree that Shaw should have been the next in line after Phil Jackson retired as the head coach of the Lakers. I think he will be a good coach but I wouldn't go as far as saying he will be top 5 just yet.

Phil and Tex also said the same thing basically as both said they thought he could be great. They never used that adjective to discuss Rambis. The majority of the Lakers roster in Fisher, Kobe, Lamar, Pau, Bynum, Ron, and Shannon also endorsed him and said they wanted him to be their coach because they could trust him and he had both an honesty about him when you interact but you knew he wouldn't go to the public about private matters, and because he has a mind for basketball.

**** you Jim Buss
