I honestly don't care who we get, Celtics banged up, Sixers good but inexperienced, but I just hope we don't sustain any injuries along the way and we should be headed for a good, hard-fought series

I had a feeling the 76ers were going to win this series. I thought to myself, maybe in 6, but that's pushing it. I hope the 76ers win Game 7 since I hate Boston more than anything outside of the Knicks and Magic. Magic said that we need a challenge in Boston, but my response is, what challenge would Boston put up? When Philly cannot score too well and score 3's too often, and they still won 3 games at least agaist the C's, imagine what the 1-2 punch of Miami can do? I cannot wait for Bosh to come back either because now he has a chip on his shoulder, and he will be on a mission. Miami will win the title vs SAS in 7.

definitely hoping the 76ers win. the HEAT always have problems against Celtics. they have game changers on offense.. Pierce, Allen and his dagger 3's, Rondo always rapes our pg's, Garnett has been beasting. their D is still very good. without Bosh i'm not too confident.

i'm not afraid of the 76ers. they're like the Pacers, but a tad not as good

challenge ?didint we just have one ?.pacers is strong team with young athletic big players ..and has depth too but we overcame that challenge w/o bosh ..if thats not a real challenge then what ? pacers beating magic team with no howard ?or sixers beating bulls with no rose and hurting noah ? ..i respect magic but wtf ?

would prefer not to play boston, simply because rondo is just so damn annoying and their shooters are good and they are tough, but we will win regardless.

philly is a much easier team for us. hopefully bosh could get some more rest.

05-25-2012, 06:12 PM
I for one think Boston will be easier for us, they were motivated in the reg season to beat us but now it's the play-offs.....we just have to make Rondo a jump shooter. Philly is a better defensive team than Boston, they give Lebron problems and for some reason every team that play them suffer injuries.....lets just hope we don't suffer the same fate.

justinnum1

we have no answer for rondo, absolutely none.

Rather play the 76ers. Its like a bye week before the Finals. Don't care about all this play the best to be the best garbage.

What's most important for this team is to sweep and get some significant rest for guys like Wade, Bosh, & Miller. Go into the Finals at FULL strength.

I was thinking the say the same thing yesterday lol. Definitely don't want to play against the Sixers because of that. People talk about how the stars are aligning for the Heat to reach the Finals while this has been the exact case for every opponent the Sixers have faced.

If Boston loses to Philly then Philly is the best. Point blank period.

Boston was the best, a long time ago....

I think that Philly is better and more feisty (grind it out style) than the Pacers so they will push us, it wont be a sweep. Just being without Bosh will present the challenge.

u guys that want boston are on crack lol play philly 4-5 games max rest while spurs n okc go to 6-7 lol

This, because it will put less pressure for Bosh to get back and he can just rehab and be ready for the next round.

I want Boston personally.

They are supposedly the better team, so I'd like the HEAT to face them in the next round.

I also think Philly is more physical and could end up injuring some of our players more than they already are.

we have won 12 of the last 13 vs philly. And they make joel anthony look like ben wallace in his prime.

We have no answer for rondo, and bostons defesne is still pretty good, they will try to slow the games down.

we would beat either in 6 at most imo, but playing philly would be a lot less taxing i think.

We beat them in 5 because rondo had a broken arm, also KG is playing much much better this year then last, on both offense and defense.

And i dont think we were worse last year, we had bosh last year, now we dont.

Boston would go 6, maybe 7 but we would win.

I could be way off, but i would like to avoid boston if we can, even tho we would win, beating philly would be a lot less taxin than going up against boston.

It's a tough choice.

A Philly series will be just as physically tough as the Pacers series was.

Do we really want to have another series like the Pacers?

I'm glad we got out with no injuries other than Bosh's freak injury.

I dont think that matters, KG and Rondo should go off on us, and they will basically load up on wade and bron. We need our role players to make shots, if they do this will be over in 5 or 6, if our role players struggle, it will take longer

It's the other guys that the Heat will look to contain and not let them get in rhythm.

Mario Chalmers is a much improved all-around player and we still have Wade, LeBron, Battier, Miller, and even Cole to give Rondo different looks.

Agreed with the role players making shots and being difference makers. I think our shooters will be more open against Boston than they were against the more athletic Indiana.

Wade in 2008 boston a 1 seed went 7 games in first 2 rounds that year and the 8th seed Alanta wasn 't .500 in regular season and the Celtics won a title the Celtics aren't as good but the Celtics that year made it to the eastern conference finals without a road win. The won the title that year so assuming a team should have swept in last series is meaningless. I agree Eddie House and few others and the bench of Celtics were much better in 08 and they had Perkins and the big 3 were lot younger. However the 3 want to show people and have a motive to show there still even though old aren't washup and have that extra chip on the shoulder.

blade151
05-26-2012, 11:44 PM
This series is on Haslem and Chalmers and to some extent Battier offensively. We all know this is going to be a series where most of the vistories will be had scoring 85 points. Just like last series, if we can hit threes we can space the floor a bit againt them. Since the C's are such a high jump shooting team, do you think they will change it up and pack the paint against us like Indy did? If Ray Ray doenst hit his shots, we crush...

Thats awesome, still dont see them winning more than 2 games, not when ray allen needs ankle surgery and will have to guard dwyane wade, and when PP has a sprained mcl, will be guarding the best player in the league, and will have to score 25+ being guarded by a top 3 perimeter defender. Like i have been saying, depending how well miami role players play, this will be anywhere from heat in 4 to heat in 7.

Wade>You

Ugh, why do people say Heat in 7 or even possibly 7? PHILLY took em to 7. Automatically it ain't gonna be 7.

justinnum1
05-27-2012, 12:05 AM
i mean, it could go 7 if our role players just dont even show up, but i think rio will step up, and battier will show up in a game or 2, miller will show up in a game, JJ might show up one game. I said heat in 6 to play it safe, and i also have a lot of respect for the celtics, maybe to much. if ud can hit his jumper and give kg a hard time that would be nice.

IMO, this is pretty much a worse case scenario for the Heat offensively on average. Of course, some guys will have more points and others will have less, but I think 90pts is possible.

Wade 25
LeBron 25
Chalmers 5
UD 5
Battier 5
Miller 5
Joel 5
Turiaf 5
Cole 5
JJ+Juwan 5

50 + 40 = 90.

This is Boston's score in every playoff game so far:

74
87
90
101
86
83
92
81
107
83
101
75
85

Not to mention that Heat's defense is better than any defense they've faced in the playoffs this year so far.

What I fear about Boston is their experience, mind games, and their ability to get us to turn the ball over and capitalize. If they do that, this will be a tougher than expected series.

justinnum1
05-27-2012, 12:17 AM
yea, but boston will try to make it a very slow pace game. we need to get stops, kill them on the boards and run, we do that and this series will be over quick.

yea, but boston will try to make it a very slow pace game. we need to get stops, kill them on the boards and run, we do that and this series will be over quick. This is one of my biggest keys. Limit their opportunities and get out on the fast break where their ability to get back on D will be tested. We do that successfully, this series over in 5 or less.

You could also say the same thing that Pierce and Rondo and Garnett are better then anyone on the Pacers team that toke your team 6 games. Why everyone think the Celts will get swept is beyond me. This is a much better team then last year with a injured Rondo and no Bass.

LeBron on facing Celtics: "I wouldn't have it no other way. No matter where I go, I (seem to) find a way to play Boston in playoffs."

Wade said Heat-Celtics will be a 'no-excuse' series. When told Cs won't have Avery and Ray's reeling, Wade said, "We don't have Chris"
@tomhaberstroh

Heat's video guys didn't sleep last night, cutting video of 2 teams. Spo scoffed at it. Once prepped tape for 5 teams in one night for SVG.

Will we see a bunch of LeBron-Wade PnRs to avoid KG? Put it this way: Spo abruptly ended questioning after I asked him.
