Bautista is 1st at 117.5 mph
Gomes is 3rd at 116.4 mph
JPA is 9th at 115.0 mph
Mathis is 11th at 114.6 mph

other notables also in the top 100 hardest hit HR's:

Johnson - 112.4 mph
Thames - 112.3 mph
Rasmus - 112.0 mph
Encarnacion- 111.9 mph
R.Davis - 111.9
Lawrie - 110.4 mph

so...pretty much our entire order can murder a baseball...only guy missing on this list is Escobar..

NOTE: Lind isn't anywhere in the few hundred as far as I can tell

Jose is 1st...

Great to see...if he can make little more contact and cut down on strikeouts could be a 30 homerun, multi position player

Stanton just OBLITERATED Bautista's homer. Bautista's was 117 MPH, Stanton hit one 5 MPH faster on a grand slam homer that ended up BREAKING the Marlins new scoreboard. What a friggin' laser.

122.4 MPH - Easily and by far the fastest homer of the year.

Stanton's power and bat speed are both ridiculous. Kid is going to be a very, very good hitter for a long time.....He is only 22 years old ffs, and put up an OPS of .893 with 34 HR's last year in only 516 AB's at the age of 21.

Also off Moyer who pitched it at 77MPH. Makes it even more impressive.

That was a vulgar display of power.

That was a vulgar display of power.

that was a vulgar display of BP power :) I say Jose still should be the leader because he hit it off a major league pitcher not Moyer.

That the rockies even allow Moyer to pitch in the MLB is unbelievable.

He's the epitome of the word phenom. He's incredibly underrated against the likes of Harper and Trout and even guys like Lawrie to an extent but he is and is going to remain an amazing player. Who knows, we may be looking at the makings of a hall of famer.

So you remember how I said it was the fastest this year so far? Don't expect anyone to beat it.

Stanton's home run had a velocity off the bat speed of 122.4 mph.

that is the fastest recorded velocity on a home run in RECORDED baseball history.

smoked.

I am so jealous
