Kobe's ability to get to the line absolutely won the Lakers the game today. Most impressively, 18-18 FT's, and free throws that were hit at VERY clutch moments. Even with all the mileage he has on him, Kobe still manages to be Mr. Clutch in the playoffs. This guy is just so fun to watch.

Bynum and his 12-13 free throws was more clutch in my opinion. Just because you hit free throws at the end doesn't mean you're clutch. A poor ft shooter making over 90% of them is more impressive to me.

He wasn't very fun to watch in game 2 when he blew a 7 point lead with only 2 minutes to go. He played awful tonight going 9-25 from the field and played awful defense. Many of those "fouls" on Kobe were phantom, or maybe they were breathing on him wrong. I'm glad he hit 18-18 from the free throw line, but that's all he did well in game 3, and to be honest, he didn't deserve many of those trips to the free throw line.

Some of these Lakers fans seems too fake to me. All year long all they said was Kobe won us 5 rings, he is allowed shoot poorly/play bad once in a while. He misses a shot and turns the ball over in the final minutes of a playoff game and Kobe is now the scapegoat.

I just wish him to embarass you people.

true champions get 42 ft attempts in a game. Everyone else maybe 28 if they are lucky.

I'm not an LBJ fan, but seriously... he played practically every minute of that game when he missed down the stretch. He missed those free-throws out of sheer exhaustion. James has had huges games in the post season, and has had some huge fourth quarters.

But yeah... Kobe going 18-18 from the line is impressive as all hell. I'll give it up for that.

I know this is a troll thread, but the foul shooting in general was just ABSURD by the Lakers last night. 41/42? That has to be near or eclipsing all time record. OKC was amazing themselves at 26/28, but you are going to be hard pressed to beat a team if they get to the line 42 times and make them all. The fact that the Thunder rimmed out the chance to send it to OT is impressive enough in itself. Great fourth quarter.

As a fan you hate to see a game with so much influence on it dictated by refs and resulting at the line, but the fact that they went 67/70 as a whole is insanely impressive. And I'd agree with the other poster that having your 7'2" monster center who's inconsistent from the line hit 11/12 is equally as impressive if not more so than Kobe's 18/18 for me. Any time a guy like Kobe or especially KD misses from the line it is a shock.
