Yeah yeah yeah kd, Spurs have shaken off the rust and oiled Pop's little perpetual scoring machine.......whir whir whir, open jumper, whir whir whir, layup, whir whir whir, wide open 3. Different game, same song..... blah blah blah :catfight:

One can only hope this is the case :D

However, I do expect LA to play better than they did in game 1. And our shooters have to continue to knock down shots. No guarantees, but Leonard, Green are 2 young guys. I'm really interested to see if they can maintain this level of play.

Yea it is. Saturday it's 3:30 EST so that'll be kinda cool I guess.

That's the beauty of having multiple guys who can make things happen ;)

And no offense to Bledsoe, but Manu has seen many tougher defenders in his time. He'll be fine.

I can't remember ever loving watching Duncan this much. His game is all timing and footwork. He's somehow more fun to watch now that he's lost a couple of steps, simply because he's turned it into an art form.

It helps he's playing against a front line that's fairly fresh and his fundamental skills and footwork are something they don't see much of anymore. I look for him to be the main weapon this series, not so much Parker.

Very true, when Duncan created room to spin baseline by going towards the lane a bit last game, I was shocked at how much LAC just left it open for him. It's a move he's been making for 15 years now (just a much slower version of it now), and they don't know how to stop it. If I'm the Clippers, I play a lot more K-Mart and just pray he can slow down Timmy, at least he understands Duncan's game. But the Clippers love to play fast, and Duncan right now is by far the most patient big man I've ever seen. He's always been fundamentally sound and smart, but I don't remember his timing always being this perfect.

Exactly.. Everyone thought the Clipps front line had the advantage. But I agree K-Mart would have better luck. I just hope Tim sees K-Mart on him and visualizes the 2003 Finals :D

1. it wasnt obvious by the answers you gave.
2. I am almost 100% sure the clippers would get way better rating. how can you say they wouldnt?
3. Youre right, i dont care if the league makes money. i just pointed out that thw pacers and spurs would get terrible rating.

Agree that they would have been less of a matchup.

I think their bigs would have causes more problems though.. Z-bo is a very good offensive player, as is Marc Gasol who can bang down low and shoot that midrange J.

They don't have that go to guy though to consistently win them close games (Gay is just not a good one) like the Clippers do in Chris Paul.

The Clippers would be more in this game if Jordan had at least a decent offensive game.. and if Chauncey was playing (as well as their 2 star players being 100% healthy.

Sure, he grabs dude's nuts once in a while and he looks goofy as hell, but in all seriousness he's easily one of the top 5 best rebounders in the league IMO. He's got the higest workrate of any player in the league and he makes the most hustle plays I've ever seen from one guy. He can actually change a game through his hustle alone. I can only imagine how good he would be if he were a few inches taller and had any semblance of an offensive game whatsoever.

I was listening to the Scott Van Pelt show this afternoon and they said that in clutch situations (5 minutes left in the 4th/overtime neither team ahead by more than 5 points) Chauncey Billups is actually something like 3-27 shooting. Wish I could find where they got those stats.

You're on the money with Paul. He is amazing. Blake had a tough year. He's get hammered all the damn and can't make his free throws. 2 things happened for the Clippers after Chauncey went down. Paul did take to even another level, and the bench gelled. Of course I'd rather have Billups than Foye but I'm sure the Clippers didn't more a role player like Foye is. Just hard to say.
