The long road continues. Hard to predict, but I do expect the Sixers to be strong at home.

They did win both their regular season games against Boston (99-86 and 103-71) at home.

Hard battle.

Re post from the last gt:

Pierce hurt his knee in the 2nd quarter of game 4 against ATL.

In games 5 and 6, he averaged 17 points, 5.5 rebs, 5.5 assists on 43% shooting overall and 50% shooting from 3pt range.

Yes, you can credit Iggy for Pierce's poor play so far.

thekmp211

mentioned this in rondo thread. if pietrus is hitting his shots, and pierce isn't, we might be best served going to a bradley/pietrus/pierce/bass/kg lineup late game at least for a period of time. 5 shooters, no rondo, pierce can still initiate the offense and at least make his FT's if he gets fouled.

Dude what is wrong with you. He is not making any excuses. He has been one of the most rational Celts fans around. He's just stating the obvious. Also regular season basketball and post season basketball is different and when we beat the Celts earlier this season we were one of the best teams in the East and the Celts looked like they were going to struggle to get into the post season.

As for the Celts not showing it in games one an two IMO its really because us. We disrupt their offense and cause mis matches for their D. If they intend to look better out there they're going to have to adjust to our style of play and attempt to use it in their favour. Coach Collins has to ensure that the guys are prepared in such a way that we don't allow that to happen.

76ers are tough at home against the Celtics.

Best I think the Celtics will do out of these is split them, with a chance of the 76ers running them off the table.

The Celtics really, really needed to win that last home game.

I'm going to assume you made a point of using bad grammar in this as a witty response. As a sign of respect, touche.

In response to your garbage comment, this team is a very good defensive team, and has showed such winning in Boston in Game 2. I'm not discrediting the Celtics because the superior talent isn't really in question. You, however, are discrediting a very good defensive team, and one that happens to match up very well with the Celtics because of their youth, depth, and ability to run. You actually have yet to spout anything other than insults (and I'm not even completely sold you did that on purpose).

well, the c's were aggressive for 4qtrs tonight and pierce played....like pierce. he;s not wearing the brace anymore so maybe he's getting healthier. either way, you wouldnt know he had a knee problem tonight the way he was going to to rim.

kg should continue to feast on this philly defense for the entire series. they legit have no one to guard him.

disappointing effort from philly imo. i had a feeling they would come back to earth after their white hot 1st qtr where they shot like 63%. but i didnt expect them to settle for jumpshots the rest of the game (even with the c's stellar defense).

I was thinking of mentioning a certain Philly fan that was wildly yapping at the beginning of this thread but nah, not worth it.

Both teams played hard, the officiating was fair. Boston was just better. Philly's weakness is their half court offense, and if they are unable to force turnovers on Boston it'll be a lot tougher for them to score. Honestly, they caught some pretty lucky breaks on loose balls and last second shots.

I believe if the Celtics are rolling on all cylinders then Philly may lose out. Philly has to be more physical on both offense and defense, and if they are then they can get back in the series. Great game, let's see how both teams come out Friday.

:facepalm:you are such a homer. it isnt showing bcuz we are a top 3 defensive team. im pretty sure if you asked the players they would say they are taking this very seriously. cant wait to hear the next excuse after you lose again tonight

:laugh2:

How did that work out for you?? C's in 5 as I have said before the series began.

if pierce plays like that...look out

That's what I was thinking. Imagine if his knees weren't banged up?

I am allowed to have an opinion right? I feel that they are garbage. I respect the hawks more and they gave the celtics a run, they were a bad matchup for the celtics not this team

dude. we would have beaten the hawks in a series even more so since they where nowhere close to healthy.

Rondo is the best PG in the playoffs atm

I hope you are being sarcastic... Parker? Westbrook? Paul?

Well... Nothing to say. That was bad from start to finish. No effort on offense or defense all night. Our worst game by far in a long time. Boston looked great too, don't wanna take away from what they did. They ran a clinic on us. Ugh...

Gotta show up on game 4 and even up the series. That's all.

One game? Holy hell, you aren't even worth it, I'll just let you go to bed happy.

He was able to throw down two pretty hard dunks.

His knee isn't in bad shape, he's just playing like ****...Mostly due to Iggy like I've been saying.

that's the thing. it stings but ya'll can come out and erase that stinker with a solid follow up. it's all part of the growth process.

that said, the celtics also put together their best run of the playoffs. this was better than their blowout against the hawks because it was coming off of a home loss and the sixers are always trying hard.

for me KG is the guy in this series, as he was last series, as he may be for the rest of the playoffs. you guys aren't equipped to stop a guy who is suddenly playing all-nba basketball.

he was good, sometimes very good all year. but he hasn't established himself on the block like this in years, honestly since he played in minny. it's inspiring to watch.

and the defense. it's just a big advantage for boston.

We are if he's 6'7 or smaller. :D
