For a single game he's still the best PF and 2nd best C in the league. Fortunately big men can rely on finesse, which he has in spades. Remarkable player.

i'm not surprised, i've had him on fantasy and he's been pretty consistent all season

Not really. They've been playing very well on both ends of the ball all season long.

How would a Spurs vs Heat finals play out? Which team would impose their will most effectively?

The guy plays like perfect basketball. I dont know if there is anyone in the league with his fundamentals.

Was expected tbh... Increased minutes equals increased production. Her PER 36 #'s were already stellar

Great throwback performance, but Timmy has been playing really good since the Trade Deaadline. With the Minutes come the Stats. He looks better then the last 2 years, his knee doesn't seem to bother him.

Somehow a KG vs. Duncan matchup in the finals would be fun.

Duncan is playing so good right now and is just adding to his legacy. His game is the what most coaches wish kids would learn but concentrate more on being flashy and trying to dunk. Tim the Timeless wonder, hope he can add another ring to his showcase, dude has earned my respect since the first time i saw him play! This coming from a poster who does not like the spurs very much!!

Great player and teammate. Spurs are playing perfect basketball right now. Pop is some kinda wizard.

Duncan and Garnett always seem to wind back the clock during the playoffs. And I feel if they really NEEDED to and were more selfish, they could do 20-10 consistently

if its Spurs Heat in the finals well have some really strange de ja vu in the league these days.

2006/2011: Dallas/Miami
2007/2012: Spurs/James

both five years apart.

Duncan has had a monstrous playoffs, i thought he was done. pop. still looking like a genius.

That's crazy... I didn't catch that 5 year difference thing. Nice..
It would be Lebron's 3rd attempt at a Texas team.

He is just incredible and no one ever has made a big deal over him for most of his career because he is "boring" - other peoples words not mine. He is just an amazing basketball player and a true champion. Its a shame that people don't talk about him as much as they like to talk about the ringless King or Kobe. He should easily be right there with Kobe. And people might take that as disrespect to Kobe - which I wouldn't I would say they disrespect Duncan.

Oh please:rolleyes: Duncan had a 26 pts-10 reb game... He's now averaging 16.6 pts, 9.0 reb & 2.4 ast

At the same age (35) averaging over the entire play-offs:

Barkley 23.5 pts, 13.8 reb & 3.8 ast
Malone 21.8 pts, 11.3 reb & 4.7 ast

And I know all about titles and so on...Barkley and Malone never won any title and Duncan has four ring etc. Don't want to start that discussion.

Just pointing out that Duncan's performance is ok, but nothing exceptional

I haven't checked Malone yet, but Tim to this point has played over 7100 minutes of playoff basketball at 181 games.

Barkley?- 123 Games 4849 minutes... Pretty significant disparity there.

***Just checked Malone... Not as big a difference but pretty big-

Malone- 148 Games 6170 Minutes (1 thousand mins less than Timmy)

Tim clearly had more playoff runs than those guys. Those numbers of theirs are impressive, but pretty bad comparison.

I don't see what the number of minutes they played has got to do with it? Malone kept scoring in the playoffs: when he was 37 years old, he had played the same amount of minutes Duncan did and yet he still scored 27.6 pts a game...

I'm not saying Malone was better than Duncan, I'm just saying that Duncan's numbers right now are not that impressive (but still good). If we are talking about long-lasting individual athletes with amazing performances, we're talking Karl Malone and Charles Barkley and not so much Tim Duncan.

An almost 37 years old, overweight, crippeled, alcohol addicted man who stood 6'4 with bad knees that still averaged a double double, now that's what I call impressive! People don't seem to realise how unique that was, but are still impressed because Duncan at 6'11 had one double double game??
