Metta said he has no intention of seeking out James Harden to apologize or even shake his hand. "I don't shake substitutions' hands."

This series is going to be intense, I can feel it! :speechless:

All is fair in love and war. Go get em Mr. Artest Big Dawg!

Aside from Artest being my favorite Laker does this mean that he won't shake his own hand because he came off the Laker bench for awhile.

Kind of out of context the way it was posted here. You're not putting the full story.

"I shake everybody's hand before the game, but Oklahoma City, they don't shake hands," World Peace said. "Only some of them, but I don't think they really shake hands before the game. Kendrick Perkins and now (Russell) Westbrook don't shake hands either. (Russell) used to shake hands, but now he don't shake hands anymore."

yeah, people on this site have no interest in actually reading an article or trying to find the context in which a statement was made...

Of course artest isn't gonna shake the guys hand. Artest starts and Harden comes off the bench. When else do teams shake each other's hands?

Nope, Devin Ebanks started the first 4 games and couldn't cut it, then Barnes started for like 2-3 weeks and he couldn't cut it, and then MWP was made the full time starter rest of the season.

Get your facts straight buddy.

Already been pointed out, but this quote is a classic example of intentional misinterpretation by the media.

Should be a great series though, the Lakers bigs set the Lakers apart from most of the league while the Thunder's perimeter scoring does the same for them.

That's not trash talk. Especially if you'd heard the way he said it. It's just a practical fact. There's no protocol to shake hands when a sub comes in. He wasn't dissing Harden's game.

Didn't Harden promise to retaliate? I'd love to see him try to test Ron; he's not a patient dude, to say the least.

kblo247
05-14-2012, 03:41 AM
Retaliate? He's going to fake an elbow to the head again. Honestly, I rather see him try to pull a stunt on Barnes because he is a worse hit head than Ron and would truly lay the guy out with the while football mentality

JC_
05-14-2012, 03:45 AM
Harden should do whatever he was doing before he got elbowed. He just needs to be ready to dodge out of the way if he throws another one lol

Harden should do whatever he was doing before he got elbowed. He just needs to be ready to dodge out of the way if he throws another one lol

You mean trying to fake an elbow like he did with Chandler and Terry? I just don't see that sitting well with the media or stern tbh. Hell it wouldn't sit with a ref well IMO and would backfire as they would probably let Ron, Matt, or Kobe rape the guy one on one on d as a result if he got caught

You know, I can't help but think after Metta's playing days are over, he is going to be remembered for something other then basketball. Something's going to happen "off the court." All you need to do is look at his "crazy eyes" when he's getting interviewed to know that his "madness" will only increase the older get gets. Still though, shout outs to Queensbridge.

Ha, World Peace already starting the mind games. Making Kobe proud?

Good idea to get in Harden's head. Harden has been playing at a high level for a while so I want to see what's going to happen on the floor, especially after Harden took that elbow. It would be interesting if Harden comes out and lights up LA in game 1 then thank World Peace for that elbow (motivation).
