Refs are given way too much power to influence the game.

That call was as fake as a Blake Griffin flop.

I was being sarcastic.

It was a pre-technical for the flop that Chris Paul was going to do a minute later.

Just a bull **** call. Same ref that Rondo chest bumped. Now I can see why Rondo got pissed at this dumb *** ref.

Evans is one of two guys on that team I really respect. Stupid call.

Why? I'd love Reggie coming off the end of the bench for us.

What a stupid play by Evans. He should know better.

I don't like the Clippers, but that was awful. That official should get fired. That kind of a call has no place in the NBA, let alone the playoffs.

I don't get why people are arguing against the Rondo chest bump. The league needs to protect the referees from whiny players and fans. That is as simple of a call and suspension as they come.

Now the Reggie Evans thing, I can only assume he was talking **** or something. He is one dirty *** player.

his major contribution to the game is that he plays dirty and tries to get under people's skin. i like the game too much to respect a guy like that. he might help you win, but he's awful for the game.

This reminds me of a rec league game I played in once. My team was blowing out the other team and I was at the FT line. I made the first FT, missed the second off the front of the rim and the ball came right back to me. I went up with the shot and the refs waived it off saying that I missed on purpose to run up the score....smh. Basketball refs in general suck, and they have way too much power.

I don't think he got it for high fiving cuz the whistle was blown during the high five..

but still i don't see anything deserving a tech lol.. he was probably hallucinating

NBA: flopping ok, but high five boo ...

Maybe the logic was, since we can't get you for flops, we'll make it up with high-five???

The official said after the game he gave him one for being ugly

why? he is one of their worst floppers......

ZebraCity916
05-12-2012, 11:41 PM
That had to have been the worst call of the playoffs so far. I can't believe he's reffing the playoffs, let alone regular season NBA games.

NBA Officials: the shorten season has negatively affected our judgement on calls; we do not have enough time for proper training.

just because he flops makes him all negative. he hustles for plays

Is the other one Chauncey? :D And yeah, that was a terrible call. I hope that gets looked at by the league.

I would swear in game 7 of the Lakers/Nuggets game, that not only did Kobe high 5 a fan on the sidelines, but went and chatted up the Announcer booth, sitting on their desk.

Inconsistent standards maybe?

The ref let him off easy, High-Fiving is easily a Flagrant 2 foul & 1 game suspension...

Who cares how often it happens? Its still a horrible call and should NEVER happen. I mean seriously, a tech for a HIGH FIVE???

I don't know where the surprise is. The NBA if fixed! Where's there's money, there's corruption. Nothing is surprising in this league.

I'm more mad at the refs for the flopping calls than the Clippers. It's just like when KD came into the league and started doing that stupid flail to get foul calls. The refs were told not to call that anymore this season, but before that everyone complained that KD got all the calls. Then you saw guys like Kobe start doing it. If the refs aren't going to call it, take advantage of it. I think it's stupid too, but people are acting like the Clippers are the first ones to take advantage of an NBA rule.

ztilzer31
05-13-2012, 01:23 PM
Or more lack of rule....

This is why I wish officials were forced to participate in post-game press conferences. "Hey, why did you give Evans a tech for high-fiving a player when its done on nearly every play in the league by every player in the league?" "Um.. I was instructed to ensure there would be a game seven by the NBA commisioner. Either that or I'm a moron."

BlinkManJan02

That's just pathetic. I would love to hear an explanation from the reff. No players or coaches can even mention this though without getting fined.

Melo got a tech for giving a ref the ball after a foul call.He didn't throw the ball at him he bounce passed it and the ref across the court t'd him up.The ref caught the ball too, it wasn't like it even hit him.Too many veteran refs have retired i think.

This is why refs should be in a press conference after games!!!

Raph12
05-14-2012, 03:26 AM
That's what you get for having a history of grabbing dudes' sacks during games; they gave him a tech so it wouldn't go any further... What you do on your own time is your own business, but keep it clean on the court. ;)
