Have your feelings changed about teams now that the playoffs have gotten underway?

I'm a diehard Lakers fan, but their effort has been horrendous and I wouldn't be surprised if they blow game 7 on their own home court. Even if they win, I doubt they can best the OKC Thunder in the next round.

So, if/when the Lakers fall, I like the chances of the Spurs. It's been a while since they've been this good and it would be nice to see them recapture some rings. It's been a while, but they are definitely playing with new life somehow.

In the east, I would like to see Miami win. They should've won last year, but oh well. It would quiet LeBron haters and make things far more pleasant for him. I also wouldn't mind another championship for the legendary Celtics.

It's a shame that Derrick Rose was injured.

Sixers and Spurs, with the Grizz next (if they get past the Spurs), then Denver and Indy. I really like most of the Thunder players, but it's just too easy to root for them.

I'm a diehard Mavs fan and we got blown away by OKC. So I'm not as interested in the Playoffs as I would be, but I'm rooting for Boston. Paul Pierce is my 2nd favorite player after Dirk so I'm hoping he and KG put together one more championship run.

I'm a Rockets fan, and as someone with an outside perspective I don't know how ANY objective NBA fan wouldn't want to see the Heat against either the Lakers or Thunder. The league has wanted a Lebron/Kobe Finals for years and to see the young talent on the Thunder take on the Heat would be an absolute treat.

For the historical importance and its significance, a ring for Lebron would be huge, so I'm rooting for the Heat. But I would not mind seeing the Thunder win one (I'm a huge Durant fan) and seeing the Celtics or Spurs add to their legacy would be nice if neither of those could happen. I wouldn't be crazy about seeing Kobe get his sixth ring, but I really don't see a chance in hell of the Lakers getting past OKC, so it's probably a moot point.

I don't dislike any of the remaining teams all that much...besides LAL really.

I am rooting mostly for LeBron. I don't like the Heat, I don't really like Wade or Bosh (I do like Miller and Haslem...Gators!) but I want LeBron to succeed.

Ranks

1. Heat (solely because I want LeBron to win)
2. Nuggets (a really fun team, good underdogs)
3. Spurs (really would like them to get one more ring)

4. 76ers (enjoy watching them when they're on...a fun and balanced team)
5. Celtics (never have had a problem with them, Rondo and Pierce are two of my absolute favorites)
6. Grizzlies (pretty indifferent)
7. Clippers (would be higher if it was just CP3, and not CP3 and Blake)
8. Thunder (pretty indifferent...don't like them as much as most it seems like)
9. Indy (absolutely indifferent...don't hate, don't love)

10. Lakers (the only team I'll actively root against)

I'd love to see either the Spurs or the Pacers win it all. I wouldn't mind if either LA team won, or OKC. I'd be happy for them. Even Philly and Boston. Really... I just don't want to see the Heat win... it is so painful to watch them play.

im supporting my knicks

Well, your Knicks are out of it. So are my Magic. Support them all you want! I'll be supporting their efforts on the golf course, and our efforts this off-season, but there's basketball still being played.

Please don't act like you don't have any sort of preference among teams left? Rooting for a team after your team out isn't being a "bandwagon" fan...not at all.

There are teams I like more than others. There are teams I dislike more than others. There are players I like more than others. There are players I dislike more than others. There are players I want to see win a(nother) ring. And there are players I don't want to see win a(nother) ring.

You don't have any of those feelings? You're just going to watch all these games completely neutrally with absolutely no preference? That's pretty cool if you can, but I can't...

Werent they the 1 seed just last year? They might've been. I didn't follow last season as closely as usual. How did they go out last year? Basically, what I'm saying is since they beat the Cavs in the Finals, they haven't gotten as close. People were saying they're too old. So they added some young players and somehow their main trio of "old guys" have become reinvigorated.

Spurs-Easy team to root for with Pop, Timmy, Manu, etc.

Clippers-Cp3 basically

Grizz-Marc Gasol, Zbo continuing to shed the "cancer" label.

Nuggets- Gallo & Ty

Heat- I hate Lebron but the guy gets too much unreasonable hate so basically I want everyone else to shut up so that I can hate him in peace.

Celtics-Basically I just get a boner watching PP play.

Pacers-Frank Vogel, Hill and Dwest is one of my fav players.

76ers-They're just over the Thunder to be honest.

Thunder-If they win they'd overate the **** out of Durant, although I like Harden and Westy.

Lakers- Look at my name.

ohreally
05-12-2012, 01:34 PM
I want the Grizz to at least get to the finals, but I expect the Spurs. I want Boston to at least get to the finals, and I think they have a shot against the Heat, but the Sixers series could be interesting. Kobe is probably my favorite "star" even if I don't know why, but I'd love to see Denver advance because I'd like to see star-ball get knocked down a few notches. Sixers would be fine with me too. And when it comes down to it, I could reluctantly acknowledge that the Heat actually do try to play like the Celts.
