I don't think it's a bad list, Wes Johnson confused me and D-Rose surprised me, but it's not terrible IMO. I don't get the Joe Johnson hate from the replies thpugh. When I've watched him, he always shoots well enough to be on this list.

05-10-2012, 06:42 PM
Derrick shouldn't be there at all.

Uhh...Wesley Johnson?

More proof that the players themselves really aren't the best evaluators of talent.

Granted, that's not an awful list...

'Pure' really needs a strict definition before a list can be made.

blastmasta26
05-10-2012, 07:04 PM
Yeah, Rose and Johnson (definitely Wes, maybe Joe) are suspect choices. I like the rest of the list, although determining order is so arbitrary.

ManRam

'Pure' really needs a strict definition before a list can be made.

True. I don't get what "pure" means. Just like best "pure" scorer and everyone saying Melo...which makes no sense to me.

Either way, regardless of what it means, Wes and Derrick make zero sense. I can't think of a definition that includes those two...

Mike Miller should be on this list. If Miller is healthy he's top 5...I show up early just to watch him shoot around, last game I went to he shot 60 balls and literally only missed 3

holy hell wes johnson being considered for this means these guys have no idea what is going on. maybe they thought it was pure practice shooter. wtf?

imo nash morrow and dirk are three best regulars along with novak. but seriously this list is crazy.

Derrick Rose? pure shooter? WTF!

HuRRiCaNeS324
05-12-2012, 02:40 PM
Derrick Rose is the polar opposite of a pure shooter. He was a below average shooter through high school and in college. The coaching staff of the bulls made him a decent shooter.

Agreed. Durant is the very definition of a pure shooter. Top 3 imo

I watched the Twolwes closely this year because im a big KLove fan, and there is no way wesley johson is a top 15 pure shooter.

I'm also kinda skeptic about the Joe Johson and the D Rose selection

i mean, alot of the list isnt bad but there are some head scratchers

hahahahahaha, how is Wes Johnson on there? He is ****ing horrible

It is a bit curious, however, I can see how it happened. For one thing, he shot 35.6% from 3 his rookie year and made 103 shots from behind the arch. His form is also fairly textbook.

This year, he didn't seem to finish off his shots well, but probably remained in guys' head as someone in the corner with nice form and wide open shots. It's not like it was a short list either.

Beltrans Mole
05-12-2012, 03:32 PM
Durant is probably the best right now

Rose is a great player, top 5 in the NBA when healthy.

He's not a great shooter. Sorry for telling the truth. That's not hate. Hell, I'm sure most any objective Chicago will admit that he's not one of the 15 best "pure shooters" in the NBA. He's not even close.
