Miami are the clear favorites.

Bibby and Toney Douglas at the PG Position? Doesn't inspire loads of confidence.

Would take inspired play by the Knicks and a bad night by the Heat for the Knicks to pull this out @Miami. That said, if the Knicks go down, I'd like to see some fight.

Here's to hoping we don't see many more critical injuries to the playoff teams this year.

Heat will take this one unless they bring no energy like last game. They looked horrible...

The Knicks need another huge night from Anthony and Stoudemire will need to step it up on the boards and defensively (needs to create some open shots for other players too). Amare needs to remember that Chandler can't guard the paint himself against Lebron and DWade tonight.

Knicks shooters need to bury the shots too. If NY gets hot from the outside and Miami struggles, we'll have a close game.

This is exactly why the new Friendly NBA game sucks. We won that game out of pity. I truely believe the friendship that the players share affected the outcome of that game. Outside of the few idiot fans in our fanbase you kind of have to feel sorry for the Knicks with the amount of bad luck they have sustained this series. Shump blows his knee, Tysons flu, Amares hand, Barons knee.

It was gonna be tough enough to beat them at full strength. But after watching them just succumb to all this freaky **** its hard not to feel for them. They saw the frustration after amares hand incident, then Baron's knee just implodes right in front of them. As much as we hate and vilify some of the players they are human and they do have feelings for thier friends.

They took thier foot off the gas. Hence its so much crueler. Prop us up with a false sense of hope then dash it the very next game. All in the name of friendship! Welcome to the new player friendly NBA.

I preferred the 90s version. Hate each other on the court, go to dinner after. No pity, no remorse, no guilt.

I would love it if Melo would just look at Wade and James and just scream....

**** YA ******!!

Its hard to compete your hardest when your worried about hurting your buddies feelings!

Knicks fans will say it was the refs and LeBron suck, Wade sucks, Bosh is a little girl, tell Heat fans that they can go suck it, if only Shumpert, Lin and Baron were playing.

Heat fans will say that the Knicks fans complain too much about the refs, Melo sucks, Amare sucks, Will Make fun of Jeremy Lin, tells Knicks fans that they can go suck it, and have posts of "wade!", "lebron!", "Like a Bosh!", "[insert player] going HAM", and twitter quotes from Ira/Windhorst/Haberstroh.

See guys, I saved all of you the trouble of going through this thread today. ;)

This quote is out of context (Wade was asked about Bibby), but interesting enough.

@WindhorstESPN

Dwyane Wade on Mike Bibby: "He's made more shots in this series than he made all last year."
By percentages Wade is right on Bibby: this series 31% overall, 39% on 3s. Last season playoffs w/Heat: 28% overall, 26% on 3s.
Wade, who also threw Bibby's shoe in series, smiled and closed by saying: "Send that to Mike." He was joking...I think.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/7910037/2012-nba-playoffs-new-york-knicks-jeremy-lin-unwilling-play-knee-85-percent

If you read any articles OTHER than the out of context quote machine that is ESPN, you would also know that...

- Woodson is waiting on Doctor's clearances
- the Team Doctors have not even cleared him to play 5v5 contact DRILLS
- that Amare and Melo don't want him to try coming back too soon. They're worried he'll end up like Brandon Roy
- that Dywane Wade believes Lin made the right decision under the circumstances

"It's going to come to doctors," Woodson continued. "All we can do is put him on the floor and if he's not ready to go based on how he's feeling, you have to respect that and move on. Keep it moving. He'll let us know when he's ready and the doctors will too."

http://www.nj.com/knicks/index.ssf/2...n_for_kni.html

Lin said team doctors told him: “I need to be able to just trust the knee. And right now there’s some tightness and soreness. And I need to get that out obviously before I can be 100 percent.”

Although the team ruled out Lin for the rest of this series, he was considered on track to return in the second round, if the Knicks made it. That is consistent with the original prognosis, which called for Lin to miss the first round after having a meniscus tear repaired on April 2.

Lin thought he might beat that schedule and was encouraged after playing some one-on-one on April 28. But his knee has been sore after every workout, and he has yet to be cleared by the medical staff for five-on-five, full-contact activity.

http://offthedribble.blogs.nytimes.c...-round-return/

Lin, who will be a restricted free agent this summer, said he spoke to his teammates, including Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Tysion Chandler and Jared Jeffries about how he was feeling.

"They all pulled me to the side on separate occasions, asked me how I was doing, told me based on how I was feeling what I should do to get it right," Lin said.

Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire both said they didn't want to see Lin come back too soon and risk further injury. Stoudemire referenced former Blazers All-Star guard Brandon Roy, whose career was cut short prematurely because of knee issues

http://www.newsday.com/sports/basket...turn-1.3708381

Comments by Dywane Wade....

"Obviously every player is different, but I think with a player like him who has a bright future, even though he can probably get out there and play, he's not going to be as effective as he wants to be and he might do further damage," he said. "I thought that (Mike Woodson) did a great job saying he wasn't ready. Us as players, we always feel we're ready. We're ready to be on the court and working out. We feel like, 'Man, I might as well go out there and play if I'm going to do all this.' But I thought Woody did a good job of kind of protecting his future, in the sense, with Lin."

http://www.nj.com/knicks/index.ssf/2...n_for_kni.html

Should be interesting if the Knicks can keep it close. Im excited to see what type of play Miami diagrams next time they have the last shot opportunity in a game, whether its this one or next round.

Well, all his points came from the free throw line. And in the box score, should be more than 2 attempts because the other were bailout calls.

It's usually that they give one team the advantage, you see the free throw disparity, and then once the game is out of reach, they start calling touch fouls in favor of the team getting blownout so they can keep the disparity close so that at the end of the game, the stat junkies can look at the boxscore and say, "See, refs called it fair, free throw differential was only 4 or 5!".

Well, they do give you the intangibles sometimes, but most of the time, Battier doesn't move the ball that well, and most of the shot clock, he's just sipping coffee at the corner until Wade or LeBron penetrate. I think if guys like Battier and Miller were given a little bit more responsibility in making plays for a cutting Wade or LeBron, the Heat would be a more dangerous team, but they don't.

Their offense isn't versatile at all.I agree with this entire assessment, good ideas, too. It's crazy to think that us fans see this and there's coaches being paid millions that are oblivious to it. I've even seen fans make better draft picks than teams that spend millions of dollars on GMs, front office, and scouting.

Why the **** people cry about FT disparity? One team attacks the basket continuously and have two the bests on the planet who can go at the rim at will and the other settles for jumpers. Why should their be equality in FT in that case? Ref should just award the other team to make it even even though they don't attack the basket nearly as much?

:clap: well said you read my mind. People just don't get it

When JR Smith turns the ball over, he usually takes a cheap shot at the guy who steals it from him. Glad they called it.

I don't usually agree with any of his comments, but that last comment he made was a bit funny, even I have to admit it.
