First Rose, now Noah.

C'mon Philly, just put these Bulls out of their misery. No NBA fan wants to see them limping into the 2nd round and not being healthy enough and mentally there to challenge Boston. Go for the 3-1 lead!

lol, was it really just a week ago that the bulls fans tried to convince me that omer asik was the missing piece to the bulls beating the heat last year?

this is what happens when you have a team full of role players after your star.

depth wins in the regular season, it doesn't win in the playoffs when the stars play more minutes.

9 or 10 months it's fine, the Bulls have proven w/ & w/o D.Rose that they can do well in the regular season. If he comes back next Feb, that should be more than enough time before the playoffs. Rose will be fine and I expect them to be in the thick of things in making it out of the East and to the finals next yr.

But they HAVE TO TRADE BOOZER in the offseason.

I know it's an 8 over 1, but let's not pretend this is anything but an 8-seed beating an overachieving 1-seed w/o 2 of its best players.

They were done when Rose tore his ACL. The Lakers would be cooked if Kobe tore his ACL as well. You take the best player from any team in the playoffs and remove them its going to be extremely difficult for them to advance.

jru and turner played good game 3

but they played like crap this game, but rip and watson didnt do anything either so its a wash.

If we don't have Rose and Noah with Deng playing hurt we are not a good team.

Lets look at it this way. We had no Rose and Noah and we still took this thing down to the wire. Philly has this series gift wrapped because of our injuries.

lol at fans saying all Philly fans are classless. I was at the game and there were also a lot of people that stood up and clapped when Noah got up and walked off the injury (I was 1 of them). Take your the loss on the chin. Also it's funny how everyone is saying "They should be able to win," considering these are the same people that said the Bulls would still easily win this series. Oh and lets not forget the Sixers SMOKED the Bulls with Noah in game 3.

Blaming the refs though, really? NBA refs are terrible. Calls are ALWAYS missed on both ends but because your team lost it has to be one sided? That's a joke.

I have seen some bad officiating, whether it be for or against the Bulls. However, this was about as bad as I have seen. I'm not going to blame the refs for the loss though, Chicago just hasn't been the same team, but I give credit to the Bulls for sticking it out til the end.

Some of the people here are just classless. The Bulls have dealt with injuries as bad as anyone this year, but they have played tough and together as a team. Losing your star player and a shot at a title is as bad as it gets, but if there is any team that can get back together next year and win, it's this group.

Philly deserves a lot of credit, they have played a very good series. I think thatThe Bulls will win game 5, then the Sixers will take it home in 6. With their depth, I believe they can scare a lot of teams, but until they win in the next round, they shouldn't be celebrating too much by beating a #1 seed as beat up as the Bulls.

yaswaggin
05-06-2012, 03:58 PM
bulls need to amnesty boozer since noone is trading for his contract, sign a legit sg that can stay healthy that can create his own shot.

keep noah, rose, deng. everyone else should be expendable.

having said that, the bull's window is still very big.

but they have to get creative to build a true contender around rose.

we don't expect to beat the celtics in round 2.

we also did expect do be swept or lose in 5 games to the bulls with a healthy rose and noah.

you guys are obviously the superior team when healthy.

i will say this though, even though this wasn't an upset, it gives the sixers some great playoff experience that they will need to have once they actually become contenders in 3 years.

Speak for yourself. I fully expect to beat Boston if thats who we play next.

if you fully expect us to beat boston, then you're a homer.

jru and rondo will be a good matchup, but they still win it.

turner has been good in the playoffs, but i'd take ray over him

bradley is an elite defender, while lou is one of the most explosive scorers off the bench, this matchup is a wash

pierce is better then iggy

brand is better then bass

kg is better then hawes

our bench is deeper imo though, like i said lou and bradley are a wash, but the celtics don't have an answer on their bench for thad and levoy.

i like our chances, and it won't suprise me if we beat them, but i don't expect to win.

i hope we win though obviously and let's finish off the bulls first.

I'm rooting for Atlanta to come out of that one - we've won 5 straight against them including 3 this year.
If it's the Celtics, we're underdogs of course, but I think we have a really good chance, especially if Bradley and Allen are still dealing with injuries.

[Insert disclaimer about how this is hypothetical and of course we're still far from having clinched a first round win]

Its one thing to win without Rose during the regular season when you know Rose is set to return for playoffs. The spirit doesn't change. When you know Rose has no shot of returning, deep down everyone on the roster knows they have no shot at a championship, even if they don't realize it they aren't gonna play with the same type of spirit and confidence. There is no light at the end of the tunnel and its tough to win that way.
