Heat. They would have been my pick pre-Amare-jacking-his-hand-up, but now it's an even easier call to make.

Knicks21

Heat.

Its actually harder now if you go by the statistics, surprisingly.

This Heat team is built the right way to support the Big 3. The Knicks have a nice bench but the Heat will consistently play defense and if the supporting cast can hit their shots, the title is their's to lose. Oh and the Big 3 took less than the max in order to WIN TITLES. Melo and Amare did it for the $$.

Heat could easily go 12-0 in the East IF supporting cast does it's thing.

I'd go with the Lakers. I like the way LA matches up against the Nuggets.

First instinct would be Lakers as they are such a better team than Nuggets BUT i see Nuggets winning 1 at home, as Lakers have struggled there over the last few years so i go with 4-1.

Thunder games have been very close both times and Mavs can pull something out at home aswell.

The Knicks just suck and i expect the Heat to be resting their starters for the last 4/5 minutes in both games. Heat are just too much of a match for Knicks.

Curious as to why these are the only 3 options?

lol, I ****ed up. For some reason I assumed each series had gone through two games, and so I was just looking for the teams with two wins in their series.

I'd actually say Lakers too.. I think if the Heat sweep the Knicks they could even possibly sweep the East..

The Lakers just are too much for the Nuggets to handle and right now they look pretty damn solid as much as that pains me to say..

Heat will probably sweep too tho

It's because Spurs-Jazz and Clippers-Grizzlies have played only 1 game. The others mentioned are 2-0 teams. Calm down.

The Spurs have a better chance at a sweep than any team on the poll. From the teams on the poll, however, I choose Miami.

It'll be tough to win both games in Utah, considering the refs always get scared of the fans and let the Jazz players get away with over-excessive physical play. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz win both games in Utah.

I know Utah is a tough place to win as a visitor, but this Spurs team has been dominant all year long and their players matchup well against the Jazz. The Jazz have no answer for Tony Parker and Timmy appears to have accompanied Jack Sparrow to the Fountain of Youth during the lockout.

From the choices on the poll, the Heat have the best chance to sweep and I think they'll do it. No way do the Thunder sweep the Mavs. Lakers aren't sweeping The Nuggets either. Laker fans are getting carried away.

Heat easy. SAS also could, but with the Heat it isn't just possible - I'd say they're pretty decent favourites to sweep.

Timmy is 14th in PER, which is damn good at his age. He's just more a presence now as opposed to putting up numbers.

Timmy seems to be feeling really well this season and since the allstar break he is impressive 17.1 pts 9.4 rpg on 52% shooting in 28 min.
Just for the lulz TP advanced stats for the Utah series 33.1 PER, 64% TS, 137 ORTG, .445 WS/48min, 7.7 TOV% that is unreal, this will come down over the playoffs but that start is brutal. If Utah doesn't get TP under control they will lose the next 2.

Judging strictly by their opponents, the Heat. The Nuggets and Dallas are more competitive teams than the Knicks as presently constructed and are capable of pulling of at least one win in their respective series IMO.

The heat.
The Lakers have to be extra motivated in order to sweep and the thunder aren't sweeping the mavs.

I say the Heat. Lakers "toy" too much with the Nuggets. Whenever they build a 15+ lead, they relax instead of pushing for a 25+ lead. Nuggets came back a few times after being down 19, and cuts it back to 4 or 5.

kntresistheheat

I choose Miami, but I think the Knicks can still pull one out. Spurs will sweep for sure!

Stinkyoutsider
05-03-2012, 12:30 PM
I think the Lakers might have the best chance to pull it off because of the advantage inside and Kobe being a good closer.

None of the teams will sweep imo. If Denver can get into transition, the Lakers will be scrambling to keep up with Bynum and Gasol having to run the floor at top speed thru the whole game. I think the Knicks will grab 1 at home even though the Heat have looked incredible so far. I think Dallas will win games 3 and 4 at home.

I will say the heat, but it will be a huge let down to New York nation if the knicks don't win a game at home. I expect melo at least win one game. Any player of the talent always has a chance to steal a game of a 7 game series.
