plus wade was just looking out for everyone's safety, you wouldn't want anyone on the knicks team to trip on it and break their ankles would you?

It's called gaining an advantage. Players are paid to make their team win within the rules of the game, and there's no rule against what he did. Is it cheap? Yeah, but a lot of players would and have done it to gain an advantage.

Lesson learned for Bibby to tie his shoes a little tighter next time.

And for anyone who wants to attack D-Wades character for doing that (or just the motives of the whole Heat team in general), it's been done before. Kevin Garnett, Ron Artest, and many others to name a few.

Here's Ron Artest doing the same. (http://youtu.be/vu1zMV5j0fo)

I'm still laughing about it, although I think the Artest/Ariza one is funnier cause Ariza is actually trying to grab his shoe and Artest kind of snatches it and tosses it back and Ariza just gets upright, put his hands on his hips, and looks at him like "Troll..."

Stuff like that is cheap, just because it's not in the rule books doesn't make it okay, let the man get his damn shoe on!

And the NBA is filled with stuff like this. I remember Nick Anderson from the Magic told us a few cheap things they would do to other plays, like one thing was stepping on the other players shoe when everyone is lined up to shoot free-throws, so you could get the rebound if it was a miss.

Wade is a below average shooter and average defender. He can't make it out the first round without a stacked team. He's not the slasher like he used be...but his post game is nice...lol

You need to come to grips that Wade is not a top 5 player and one of the most overrated players in the last decade. The only time Wade was a top 5 player was in 08.

When has Wade had a stacked team though other than this year, or 04-05 and 05-06? Heres the thing, Pat Riley just collected expiring contracts for the 2010 free agency as soon as he shipped out Shaq. That 2006 team was a one hit wonder. The Heat gave away their future in Odom/Butler for Shaq, for a chance to win a title and it worked. While Pat was doing this, the Raptors and Cavaliers just overpaid for players and took on bad contracts (Hedo, Jamison, etc etc). And guess what? Pat won again. Those teams Wade had in 08-10 were HORRIBLE. No one is denying LeBron>Wade. Actually, it isnt even close in my opnion, this is LeBron's team, Wade has even admitted it. But can you please just shut the **** up and enjoy the team?

Funny, but still classless.

It's not like Bibby is a show stopper on the court. He wasn't going to swing the game one way or the other.

And using Metta as a measuring stick of acceptable behavior?

Keeping it safe and classy would have been to pick up the shoe and pass it to Bibby. That his first instinct is to throw it to the far corner says loads about his already questionable character.

Hitting him with an unsportsmanlike conduct would be appropriate in my view. Then hit him with a Fine.

Actually, if Melo did that I'd consider that classless as well, and wouldn't have a problem hitting him with an unsportsmanlike + fine.

It's not a basketball play, and it's not necessary.

You lose your shoe, you're out of play for 1-2 minutes putting it back on. That's a significant advantage.

There's nothing to gain by throwing the shoe other than showing that you're being a jerk.

(http://youtu.be/vu1zMV5j0fo)
yeah, but dont u know Dwade is the bad guy?

lol this thread

No idea the general opinion in this thread didn't read but I'm assuming it's mostly Wade hate which normally I'd hop right on because I don't particularly like Wade but this shoe toss I found hilarious and awesome and have no problem with it. It's not something I would do personally but I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that.

How Wade is a thug?

1. Broke Rondo's arm

2. Broke Kobe's nose

3. Slammed RIP

4. Born and raised in southside Chicago.

The only one he Intentionally did was push RIP. He didnt SLAM him like you make it out to be. In fact you make all these out to be as if Wade took a bat to Rondo's arm and punched Kobe in the face. I am sorry you are no longer married to Wade and hold a grudge, but get over it and move on already.

He should have chucked it at Bibby's face point blank. Now that would have been a real story.

To say that I don't like the Heat would be a huge understatement. But come on people, I do this kind of ish to my friends when we play ball. You don't want your shoe to get tossed? Tie them up! Hell, I toss my friends shoes to the other side of the room when we're just watching a game in my living room.

I use to like wade but im losing respect from him. I know its not a big deal at all but come on now that is just childish. I do have to agree with people saying he is a thug though! He clearly shoved Rip to the ground. People can say he didnt mean to bring Rondo down to the ground when he hurt his arm but he did (He obviously didnt mean to hurt him though) As for Kobe I dont think Wade meant to break his nose but he meant to hard foul him but in a allstar game? Grow the **** up! No wonder why no one likes the heat.
