Who saw that magic pacers game yesterday. Either indy is not that good or magic are better than anyone thought. Probably a little bit of both:)

Watched that game from my hotel room, J-Rich won't shoot that good again and Pacers won't close out games that bad every time lol. They were brutal down the stretch

I was reading something that if we finish our series quickly and pacers/magic finishes quickly as well(doesnt look like that will happen) we can start the 2nd round sooner and avoid a back to back.

They were brutal down the stretchI used to believe that, but I've watched Pacer games closely starting last year in the playoffs, and these guys are just not good at closing out games. They probably could've beaten the Bulls if they had closed their games out, but the Bulls always ended up taking the lead in the 4th and closing out.

They missed 2 wide open 3s, a layup, 2 free throws, and a travel, if they do that every game up 7 with like 3 minutes left, then they got serious problems.

ESPN's star writer Bill Simmons has withdrawn his vote of LeBron James as MVP of the NBA due to a conflict of interest involving a bet he made on the award, Business Insider has learned.

Here's the official company line on the matter:

"Bill had never received a ballot before and didn't find out he had one until two-thirds of the season had passed. By that time he had made multiple MVP bets, two of which he had discussed on podcasts. He ended up withdrawing his MVP vote to avoid the perception of any conflict."

Sucks for LeBron, probably not a difference maker, though.

How great would it be for Spo's legacy if his team could beat Pop in the Finals? Same for LeBron if he could over come the Spurs with the way they're playing.

Spurs = Unreal. Miami and OKC are pretty similar as teams. Both of these teams depend on wing for scoring. They way Spurs are toying with the OKC it makes me wonder how Miami will adjust.

Spo will have to coach his tush off to win the finals vs San Antonio. Pop is at his best right now and they have not been stopped in 20 games. Physically we can handle them but we need to match their mental toughness. We need to understand that teams make runs and make adjustments and not blink. The thunder it seems blinked so far. We need to have the composure and mental toughness to win a long, exhausting, emotional possibly classic for the ages series.

I hate to say it, but it seems no1 is stopping the Spurs right now. They are on beast mode.

Whoever thinks the HEAT have no chance against SAS are dumb. If Wade and James continue to play the way theyre playing and Bosh comes back and hits the ground running and we keep getting support, we will win in 6. Bank on it.

I have a lot of confidence if we matchup against the Spurs. The Spurs have to rely too much on Tony Parker to score AND create for everyone. Its all on his shoulders. If we contain him, the series will be over soon for the Spurs.

Spurs have so many guys who can be a threat out there...but athletically we definitely have them outclassed. Ginobli is a good 1 on 1 defender, but if Wade is on his game it won't matter.

We need Bosh back though, that's for sure....

So the thunder win again. Anyone else rooting for the thunder in that series? Not necessarily as a better matchup for us, but rather the thought of Wade and Bron vs Durant and Westbrook in a 7 game series sounding absolutely awesome being an Nba fan

SteBO
06-03-2012, 08:33 AM
The Thunder still have to win in San Antonio to come out of the West, and for some reason I don't see that happening. One things certain, Westbrook can't put up the game he did last night and expect to win, and Ibaka and Perkins won't play as well as they did again. If anything, the Spurs are still in a favorable position......

It has begun:

Two years ago, we all knew a "Big Three" was about to take the NBA by storm. They had a once-ballyhooed high school phenom who indeed proved to be as good as advertised once he reached the NBA, a late bloomer who was stunningly explosive and productive, and arguably the best third option in the league. They were going to win not one, not two championships but several. They would become a dynasty; perhaps unlike any we'd seen before.

Two years ago, we all thought that Big Three would reside in Miami, in the persons of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. But we were looking for dominance in all the wrong places.

Instead, the league's best Big Three is in Oklahoma City, where that once-ballyhooed phenom Kevin Durant, the late bloomer Russell Westbrook and the incredible third option James Harden are on the verge of doing something that's never been done in the history of the NBA. If the Oklahoma City Thunder win the championship this season, they will become the first team ever to win a title with its top four scorers all under the age of 24.

And they are doing it the old-fashioned way: They bucked the latest trend that has players conspiring to team up together in posh cities, as if having a 40-inch vertical or a wicked jump shot automatically makes one a deft general manager.

Bosh > Harden

Seriously, is this even a debate?

And re: Bulls-Thunder, let's just say there's a reason why Bulls fans are such homers. Just look at what their media feeds them.
