So the NFL Network gave us a 'C' on our draft (last in the NFC WEST). I think its a fair assessment, although by season's end I think we will look back and our grade will rise (it always does). PC n JS seem to like to stray from the most popular picks and go on their own assessments, which I think is a good thing. I give them a B. What do you guys think?

And Mel Kiper can go to hell! Doesn't know ****!

I apologize for spelling Seattle wrong. Typing on a Netbook and the Keyboard is Tiny for my fat fingers Lol!

Agreed on Kiper McCshay is also a joke i don't even think McCshay makes his own opinions on players he just follows the other guys last year he had Locker as a 1st round grade then all of a sudden called him a 2nd rounder when everyone else decided to

C was the lowest grade of any team I saw but I didn't catch every division. Did anyone get a lower grade?

The only thing I disagreed with was taking Wagner rather than Kendricks. Maybe JS/PC saw something that we can't....

Size Kendricks was 5'9 i believe Wagner is 6'3 Pete was targeting Wagner the whole time in my opinion and already has said he will get the chance to be the MLB.

Yahoo does NOT have us as one of the "Losers"... I like.

Your right but i don't get why Kiper is bashing the pick i saw a lot of people mocking him to us even with Kendricks still on the board Seahawks had to know the Eagles were looking at LB's as well one of there hugest needs.

McShay is the absolute worst. Kiper is better than him, but still not good.

Wagner will be better than Kendricks. Better tackling and reaction time.

I was reading on Wiki that Kiper has been criticized for talking up players in support of his agent buddies. That's brutal if this is true.
If Wagner is a bigger player than Kendricks (not sure their Size), that's typically a feature that Pete Carroll looks in a player. I read an article on NFL.com that was praising the Seahawks for picking Wilson over Cousins. They said that Wilson would have been a first rounder if it wasn't for his height.

I watched Cousins i don't get what people see in him he just doesn't excite me weak arm and really inaccurate i like the risk with Wilson he is a leader had a high completion % at Wisconsin and has the arm to make up for his height.

By the way how did none of us figure out that Schneider was talking about Wilson? He did an interview on Brock and Salk and said he looks for somebody that can tilt the field and Schneider loves big hands Wilson has big hands 10 1/4".

Kiper is an old school football guy. People tend to hate what they don't understand. That simple.

That's been a known fact for years. It's not just Kiper, it's everyone.

Wagner has long limbs much like KJ Wright. I wouldn't be surprised if that was by design.

We could have selected him before we moved down, but I totally understand why they took Wagner. I like him, just like Kendricks too. Wagner definitely fits PC's mold more.

I love how some sites are changing our grades to B now because they learned other teams wanted Bruce after us in the 1st

That's the way things go... I want to hear Kiper in the postseason! I love how he flips his status. He never admits to being wrong

I like the Hawks draft. The Seahawks have a plan and often take unorthodox picks. When Kam was drafted, everyone said he was too big to play safety and he would eventually play weak side LB. Now he is a probowl safety! The Hawks know the type of players they want and they don't care what everyone else thinks. Bruce Irvin fits this team/ scheme perfectly. I set his sack total just at CLINK at 8. He has attributes you can't teach! Turbin is a stud, not the change of pace running back I was hoping for, but he looks like he could be a star in the NFL.

He backed off it already sort of still says he should of been a 2nd-3rd rounder.

I hate how they use the pass rush specialist thing of why you don't take a guy that high if he gets double digit sacks a season i don't think anyone is going to care what his role is.

Pass rushers are also one of the top positions making the most money along with QB's and WR's.

What kills me is that they don't look at our current roster before making their stupid analysis. Does Kiper not know that we have a monster in Red Bryant who is a run stuffing animal on one end and Clemons who is our pass rusher on the other. We didn't need a 3 down guy, we needed a guy who can straight up get at the QB on passing downs for Red. Irvin fits that role perfectly, he will be groomed to be Clemons replacement at LEO but right now he just needs to pin his ears back and get that QB.

You guys hear Pete on Brock and Salk last week?

He has coveted a pass rusher like Irvin since he was a college coach. said they had a strong sense he'd have gone the very next pick.

When asked what kind of player he can be, Pete named Javon Kearse and Lawrence Taylor.

I'm ****ing thrilled for this guy. I think he's going to be a monster.

^Yep Caroll also compared Wilson to Frank Tarkenton they must really like this guy and think he will win the starting job in a year or 2.

i heard bruce irvin call in to our local sports radio shortly after being drafted, he had no idea he was going to get taken that early and he had such genuine elation in his voice for being drafted that high it was hard not to be happy for him. I love how people are criticizing the pick, only gets him more motivated.

They asked him what he knew about the Seahawks, he said, "I know Pete Carroll is the coach, and thats my dude!". Pete went to bat for him and this kid is going to play extremely hard for him.

I like the Bruce Irvin pick. The film I watched made me think of Jared Allen- minus the horrible mullet. A high motor player who is fixated on getting into the backfield. When a player is getting into the pocket only good things can happen
