He walked off on his own power, as someone who has torn both an MCL and ACL, he definitely wouldn't be able to put any weight whatsoever on it had he torn one.

I agree with he shouldn't have been playing, but had he actually TORN an ACL/MCL, there is no way they would have picked him up and let him walk with some support, he literally would have most likely been carried the entire way. Probably a Grade 2 sprain, it still sucks, but I don't think he actually tore anything.

but the reps argument is garbage...If he needed reps you play him in the final game...Did they play him in the final game? The only logical reason is the stats...he was playing late and hard in a blow out and he needed 1 rebound and 1 assist... I am not saying it is the reason but I just do not see another explanation.

This. It's POSSIBLE that Thibs was worried about an offensively challeged team being able to come back from down 10 with 2 minutes left against one of the best defenses in the league....but unlikely.

The reps argument is illogical if he didn't play the last game of the season.

If he misses 2 weeks the Bulls may not have the second round as an option. They go from very good to great to average without Rose.

Rose could be back next game and he could need surgery to fix a ligament or tendon tear. Until its diagnosed its not possible to know, but I think its unrealistic to count the Sixers out if Rose does miss the rest of the series.

The point is they don't know. I partially tore my hamstring in high school and was able to stand and even walk a bit. The point of what you are quoting is not what they thought its about what they cannot know without and MRI or at least an X-Ray. They might stand him up because they think its not as serious.

You understand the talent on the Sixers and understate whoever they would play in the second round.

I get it your a homer and your team can be any team in world history in your eyes but without Rose in the playoffs (if they end up being without him) its a different situation all together.

Boston played the Bulls SEVERAL times this season without Rose and got their azzes kicked repeatedly. Rose sat most of the Bull-Celtic games this season and Boston still couldnt handle the Bulls in those games. This is why only people who watched the Bulls ALL YEAR LONG should comment on this team because you guys who watch 5 or 6 Bulls games in a year repeatedly claim that the Bulls will lose to [insert team] that the Bulls have already owned all year long with or without Derrick Rose.

It doesn't have to be a torn ligament to be a huge problem. Same thing happened to KG in '09 when he hurt his knee on a non-contact play. He missed 39 games the rest of the way with a "knee strain".

Maybe not. Cause I highly expect Chicago to now lose to Boston (or Atlanta, who might have Horford back in the second round I believe if they can make it).

Boston is probably who Miami doesn't want.

Biggest misconception of the regular season was Bulls fans thinking they were great even without Rose. So you beat some good teams without him. That was the regular season. Playoff basketball is a whole other dimension. We lost to you without Rose on the 2nd night of a back to back on the road, after losing a tough game by one point to the Spurs the night before. No back to backs in the playoffs.

If you knew anything about Thibs you would know that he is notoriously known for playing his players too many minutes and taking WAY too long to take them out even when the game is out of hand. For the record, I agree with Thibs for playing his players til the end, but throughout the season, people in our forum CONSISTENTLY complain that he plays Deng and Rose too many minutes.

It has nothing to do with a ****ing triple double. You're an idiot for thinking that and an arrogant POS for thinking you know more about the tendencies of our team, coaches and players than people who actually follow this team every day and watch EVERY game.
