Definitely, First Rose, now Shumpert. What is it with these NBA courts?! Hope he is luckier than Rose (at least what the other thread is reporting). Unfortunately, the fact that he had to be carried out, really doesn't look good.

Really tough break for him. I don't wish that on any player or any opponent being that I personally have had knee injuries from playing. Hope him a quick recovery whatever it is.

It did look like an ACL tear. That is really unfortunate. He is my favorite player to watch on that team.

It sadly looked like a career changing injury.

Considering this kids playstyle, it's hard to see him returning to be the same.

I hope he does, this kid is just a joy to watch playing defense - but man, this one looked BAD. much worst then Rose's.

That looked more than just ACL. I'm guessing the patella tendon. He grabbed that, not the knee.

not so much this series, heat sweep, but Knicks future outlook. Shupert looks like a keeper and would be a solid player. you never know how players come back from injuries. ESP their first major one.

*sigh*

This blows.

2 starters out now (Lin and Shumpert)
Chandler with the flu
Jeffries limping from knee problems
Bibby limping
STAT rusty as hell
Baron Davis getting pulled early because his body is falling apart

Toss in Derrick Rose blowing his ACL in Chicago, Dwight out with a herniated disk and the EC Playoffs are looking awful.

When you see a player holding his knee like that in agonizing pain, you already know its an ACL. Reminds me of how Bynum went down.

Wasn't Bynum's an MCL though? Still a bad injury but an ACL would have been much worse.

Source confirms the Knicks' Iman Shumpert has a torn ACL in his left knee (as reported by @wojyahoonba), says he will need surgery.

All the crap people give Knicks fans about liking Iman is funny at times but he has a lot of promise (star potential) when you see a guy go down like that its bad for the NBA and pure basketball fans.

Those two injuries (Rose and Shumpert) basically equal a cakewalk to the Finals for Miami. NYK loses a huge part of their defense, Shumpert is their only guy who can at least limit guys like Wade or Rose. Sucks for both teams, bigger blow for Chicago obviously. Let's hope they make a full recovery.

Now that you say it like that, I definitely agree.

What makes the knicks this year isn't the offense, but the defense that Woodson, Tyson, and Shumpert bring to the team. So, if the Knicks defense isn't out there to keep the game close, Knicks wins will be harder.

Then, the Heat would have a "cakewalk" in the eastern conference finals if the Bulls get there (even if their record sans Rose is still great). And if the Bulls don't get there, it'll be another team that's easier to beat.
