I think Chicago takes this series in 6. Philly might get hot in 1 or 2 games, and their defense will make this series somewhat close.

OP, I'm fairly certain Meeks will be starting in place of Turner. There's also a good chance Hawes comes off the bench and Lavoy Allen starts at center... Just something an eye on and update the thread if needed.

Carlos Boozer's teams have been better with him on the bench in 2011-12, 2010-11 (playoffs too), 2009-10 (playoffs too) and 2008-09.

Very happy the we're playing the Bulls, because I think the Bulls are the best team to show us how to take the next step. We play hard, the Bulls play hard and tough. I don't think we learned anything from playing Miami last year, because we aren't the type of team that's gonna get bailed out by phantom calls all game long. We can learn to play like the Bulls though.

I will give you Asik with regards to offense.. But Boozer has actually started to play D this year, and Korver has turned into a DARN GOOD defender. Noah is averaging a double-double this year, and Rip is STILL a solid defender.

Leave the Bulls team to people who actually know them.

Boozers playoff career numbers... 18.2 points 11.8 rebounds per game, and that's including his pretty mediocre injury riddled postseason last year, he has no stats to back up that boozers teams are worse... That must explain why since he left Utah they haven't done ****

You're wrong on 4 of those guys. Brewer, Rip, Korver (much improved D this year) and Noah are all two way players. If you're being that strict on what you consider a player one way or the other, than all teams only have 2-3 two way players.

And boozer has definitely given more effort this year and stayed healthy... And he's like top ten in FG percentage and his bread and butter is his jumper... He's been great this year and will be huge for the bulls this postseason... Haberstroh shows nothing but his biased opinion in that statement

It's not.

And I'm so sick of hearing this. This is coming from one of the biggest proponents for trading Boozer.

This isn't to say there aren't moments where we are better off benching Boozer for Gibson, but that kind of situation can happen for plenty of players. Gibson is very good role player, but in most situations, Boozer is better.

same thing with the Pacers/Magic series. Philly might steal game 3 or 4 at home, but that's it. Philly doesn't have any go to scorers and you need at least one of those to have a chance vs Chicago. Bulls in 5.

Going with Bulls in 6, maybe in 5 if Rose is in form and Boozer gives the Bulls something on the defensive end against Elton Brand.

This is a great matchup. Both teams play great defense. I think the winner of the series will be the team that rebounds the ball more effectively. With the great defense, limiting 2nd chances will be huge. I think the Bulls are first in offensive rebounding?

I'm looking forward to the Deng vs Iggy matchup. Both those guys are versatile and are very important for their teams. Deng's consistency this year vs Iggy's floor leadership.

Really don't see it going past 6 games even if the Sixers can steal one in Chicago. Bulls are an extremely balanced team, great defense, and are going to murder us on the boards. Sixers are probably a better defensive team minus the center position, but lack the go-to #1 guy they can lean on offensively to win this series.

Not being a homer but do agree with this. I would like to save Rose for the next round even tho that's not gonna happen but would he a.good idea.

No doubt. Bulls are the best defensive team in the league, even without Derrick Rose. Thibs has those guys so disciplined defensively, I'm impressed. Definitely Coach of the Year again.

Didn't matter with our bigs. It's like with AI's sixers in the early 2000s. Just take a lot of shots near the basket and many will lead to offensive rebounds/put backs by your bigs.
