Hawks forward Al Horford tells Yahoo! Sports he does not expect to play in the postseason due to pectoral injury. "I don't feel like it is realistic that I can play for the playoffs," Horford said. "Obviously, if we advance and start going we will see. But as of right now the way I feel I think I am out for the playoffs."

Big blow for them.

Hawks have never really been a threat. They're a talented team that lacks the IQ and intangibles to every really be a force. I've always said that a good "pass time" team, but never really a threat.

Sucks for the Hawks. Probably ruins there chances for anything. Hope he has a good recovery

With Zaza the Hawks can take Boston. So he is the one we need more than what is going to amount as a soft and rusty Al Horford should he play.

Horford's original prognosis back in January was out for the season... so I don't know why the OP says it's a big blow. If he came back early it would be a bonus.

How is it a big blow? He didn't play all year and wasn't expected back for the playoffs.
