Figured we could start a “watch list” for guys that might be flying under the radar right now, but have potential to be big fantasy contributors soon.

Some guys I’m watching in my league that are still available:

Pitching: Brett Myers, Bartolo Colon, Jake Arrieta, Kyle Drabek, Danny Duffy, Addison Reed

Position players: Dustin Ackley, Matt Joyce, Drew Stubbs

Duffy, Arrieta, and Drabek are good ones. I'm surprised that Myers is available in your league. He may not play for a good team, but he's a closer with a firm hold on the gig.

Others that I have flagged: Buehrle, Bard, Pestano, Rasmus, Belt, Brian Roberts, Daniel Murphy, Gamel

Can anyone give me some help with the waivers?

1. Drop: Jhonny Peralta. Add: Rafael Furcal, Ian Desmond, or Erick Aybar? If so, which one?
2. Drop: Torii Hunter. Add: Luke Scott or Drew Stubbs?
3. Drop: Brandon League. Add: Jordan Walden?
4. Drop: Wilson Ramos. Add: AJ Pierzynski?

Thanks a lot.

I would pick up Stubbs aj and walden

I actually would stick with League in that scenario, but it's a toss up really.

For those who still have Peavy available, I advise you snag him now. Started him last night and he pitched a CG against OAK. Great start, just praying he can stay healthy.

^ You think I should stick with Ramos or pick up Pierzynski?

AJ's swinging the hot bat right now so I'd go with him. Don't think you really need to worry about someone snagging Ramos if you drop him.

True. How do you guys feel about Jarrod Parker and Trevor Bauer? I have them on my watch list.

Who do you guys like the most at 2B for the time being out of these:

Kelly Johnson, Omar Infante, Dustin Ackley, Jose Altuve, Darwin Barney

I like Altuve and Kelly Johnson the most from that list. Between those two, I'd say it depends on how much you need batting average vs power.

I currently have Altuve, Kipnis and Ackley lol. Looking to unload one soon.

I have Trevor Bauer on my watch list among others, anyone know if he is the one being called up on Monday? I feel it I should just pick him up and stash him on my bench until he arrives. Did it with Trout.

I've picked up Adam laroche in two leagues. Now that Jesus montero doesn't suck up a utility spot any more I can play laroche when I like the match ups.

Missed out on Reed by minutes. I'm pretty sure he will close from here on out this season.

Ya he really should be the closer from here on out cause his numbers are sick, but wouldn't be surprised to see Sale get some opportunities if his MRI isn't anything too serious.

For w/e reason someone dropped Kimbrel in my league. Dropped Robertson for him since he's having a rocky start since moving to the closer role. Now my staffs looking like this:

David Price
Jake Peavy
Brandon Beachy
Drew Smyly
Brett Myers
Kenley Jansen
Craig Kimbrel
Tommy Hanson
Joel Hanrahan

Feeling pretty solid right now

I see your rotation and I raise you

Jered Weaver
Madison Bumgarner
Ian Kennedy
Anibal Sanchez
Jake Peavy
Santiago Casilla
Brandon League
Jordan Walden
Javy Guerra

If only Scioscia didn't act like a fantasy rookie when he dropped Walden from his spot after one save.

But yeah, my waiver wire question. Should I drop Guerra for one of Broxton/Aceves? Or should I just hang on to him for awhile?

Very solid. I actually had League for a bit but dropped him cause he seemed to struggle everytime out.

Is Kenley Jansen still available in your league? I just picked him up, really high on him.

I actually have Grant Balfour, not Brandon League. I don't know why I typed Brandon League. But Kenley Jansen has been long gone. It's a pretty competitive league, so Jansen was a speculative draft.

Haha I dropped Balfour too.

I'd drop Guerra TBH. Don't think he holds much value after losing his closer role

My starting pitchers are:

Kershaw
Sabathia
Peavy
Cueto
Darvish
J Parker
Samardjia

Im new to fantasy baseball, but this is good for a 10 man league isnt it?

Not sure where to post this, but have a lineup question. Im currently leading in ERA by about 1.2...and am winning WHIP by 0.4. I am also winning by 3 K's, wins are in the bag, and my opponent has no starters going today. Wouldnt the smart move be to sit both Parker and Samardjia? I really have nothing to gain by playing them, the only thing would be K's, if a couple of his closers play he could possibly overtake that. I was thinking maybe just play Samardjia, since he seems a little safer choice than Parker?

Do you guys think it's safe to drop Tommy Hanson, or should I still keep the faith? Was thinking of dropping him for Tyler Clippard, right now my staff looks like this:

David Price
Brandon Beachy
Jake Peavy
Chris Sale
Craig Kimbrel
Kenley Jansen
Brett Myers

Bench: Tommy Hanson, RA Dickey

Hanson fastball id down to 88-89 mph. I wouldn't be shocked if a DL stint was in his future.

Drop Alex Gordon for Choo or Craig? Yes or no?

ESaady

Craig. If he stays healthy he's got 20+ homer potential with average. Something neither Gordon or Choo will probably do this year.
