Pitcher, position player, DH, whatever. Who do you like watching the most? Who's the most exciting?

04-17-2012, 08:06 AM
Usually whichever SP gets the fortune of facing the Cubs lineup. Pretty exciting, really. Especially if Jeff Baker is cleaning up, then whooo-wheee!

I'm a homer on this one, but I like watching Brett Lawrie play. He is always going full out on every play he's involved in and seems to really be enjoying himself out there.

Nick Swisher, he's like a mascot playing on the field.

I loved watching Matsui so much.
But right now I'd say Robertson. Something about his pitches, i don't know. They just look amazing every time.

I loved watching Beltre play when he was with the Red Sox and I still like him. I also like watching Justin Upton. My new favorite player to watch is Yoenis Cespedes because you never know when he might hit a bomb even though most of the time it's a K he strikes out with style.

Nomar's batter's box routines were always entertaining.

04-17-2012, 12:33 PM
Dee Gordon is becoming my favorite player to watch.

04-17-2012, 01:46 PM

04-17-2012, 01:54 PM
Non-Tigers: Clayton Kershaw, Ryan Braun
Tigers: Miggy, Prince Fielder

04-17-2012, 02:14 PM
Kemp, Dee Gordon, and Kershaw...Who knew Dodger games could be so exciting? Especially every fifth day.

04-17-2012, 02:29 PM
All-time: Griffey
Now: Ichiro

I think I might have to agree on both of those.

04-17-2012, 03:09 PM
All time- Roberto Alomar, Ken Griffey, Rickey Henderson

Now- Prince Fielder, Roy Halladay, Jose Bautista

04-17-2012, 04:08 PM
When I was a kid, it was Ozzie.

Today, I love watching the young guys learn the game (Matt Carpenter, Daniel Descalso etc).

Pure talent wise, Matt Kemp, Albert Pujols are just fun to watch

04-17-2012, 04:23 PM
My favorite players to watch are Pujols, Verlander, Miggy, Posey, Bumgarner, Cain, Strasburg, Kershaw, McCutchen, Kemp, Yadier, Longoria and Mo Rivera just to name a few without thinking.

Amazin' Mets

Off the top of my head.. Lincecum, Swisher, Verlander, Pujols, Jeter, Mo Rivera.

04-17-2012, 04:59 PM
Andrew McCutchen. He's a rare combination of speed, power, and badass dreds

04-17-2012, 05:04 PM
I used to like to watch Marco Scutaro play (when he was on the Red Sox). I loved when he touched Beltre's head after each HR he hit.

Then when they met last year (Beltre signed with Rangers), and Beltre hit a double, Scutaro touched his head again.

Mariano Rivera. How often do you get to say you saw the all time best at his position and there be no sane argument against it.

On Jays: Brett Lawrie, Brandon Morrow or Yunel Escobar.

Other guys I like to watch are; Adam Jones, Matt Kemp, Miguel Cabrera, Roy Halladay and Stephen Strasburg.

04-17-2012, 05:51 PM
I love watching Ian Kinsler play...he has good defense, a power bat and great speed, so there's something to constantly watch with him.

This year, I've been really watching Yu Darvish also...not overly impressed so far.

Non-Rangers I like watching: Hanley Ramirez, Stephen Strasburg and Matt Kemp.

04-17-2012, 05:52 PM
Nothing was more exciting than watching Bautista early last year. Most dominant hitter I'd seen since Bonds.

Now I'd have to say Strasburg.. The guy is generational, just unbelievable stuff.

04-17-2012, 06:24 PM
Any player who can hit for average and power and pitchers who dominate.

Mariano Rivera. How often do you get to say you saw the all time best at his position and there be no sane argument against it.

Rivera is the only Yankee that I like and/or respect, but I don't think he's the best pitcher of all time. He's the best 1-inning pitcher though. :)

David Eckstein was always one of my favorites. That guy was a pure ball player. I loved watching the talentless guys out-play the big shots.
